Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has dropped a new range-topping variant for the Yaris Cross. With sportier looks and added in-car technology, the Toyota Yaris Cross SE joins TMP’s growing lineup of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), making its push for better and more sustainable mobility even stronger.

Right off the bat, the Toyota Yaris Cross carries a sportier persona. It’s got redesigned front and rear bumper skirts that give it a low-profile look. This is complemented with black trims on the grille, the lower door panels, and rear bumper, as well as chrome accents on key points up front and in back to balance the look. A tailgate-mounted spoiler painted in black completes the sporty style.

Inside, the Toyota Yaris Cross SE has plenty of exclusive in-car tech goodies, headlined by a digital rear-view mirror. This equipment has front and rear video recorders that essentially work like a multi-angle dashcam, a useful feature for documenting road trips and providing an added sense of security. The SE interior also comes with ambient lighting and a digital signal processor for better audio reception.

TMP didn’t hold back in providing the Yaris Cross with all the standard and advanced equipment it needed to make the journey as safe as possible. This means that the Yaris Cross SE carries the Toyota Safety Sense, the brand’s suite of advanced driver assistance systems. This package includes crash-preventing technologies such as pre-collision warning, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Under the hood of the Toyota Yaris Cross SE is its tried and true CVT-driven 1.5-liter gasoline engine that’s rated at 90 hp and 121 Nm of torque. This is paired to an electric motor, which TMP claims to give the car a “fuel-efficient, eco-conscious performance.”

Toyota Motor Philippines is now making the Yaris Cross SE available at its nationwide dealer network. To date, the Toyota Yaris Cross SE is retailed at P1,690,000.
