FUSO Phils. delivers 27 Canter FE73 units to Burgos LGU in Ilocos Sur

Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), in collaboration with its dealer partner HMEN Motors – FUSO Pangasinan, officially turned over twenty-seven (27) FUSO Canter FE73 Drop-side units to the local government unit (LGU) of Burgos, Ilocos Sur on February 15, 2025. The ceremonial handover, held at the Burgos Municipal Hall, coincided with the town’s annual Farmer’s Day celebration, an event that recognizes the vital contributions of local farmers to the region’s economy and agriculture sector.

These 27 FUSO Canter FE73 units will be distributed across Burgos’ 26 barangays, with one additional unit allocated for municipal use. Designed to support agricultural operations, these vehicles will enhance the efficiency of transporting goods and materials, ultimately driving growth in the farming sector.

The FUSO Canter FE73 is renowned for its durability, reliability, and adaptability—qualities that make it an ideal vehicle for agricultural applications. With a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 4,490 kg and a 4P10-WAT2 Common Rail Turbocharged Intercooled Diesel engine producing 131 PS and 350 N-m of torque, the Canter FE73 provides ample power for transporting agricultural produce such as rice and vegetables.

Each unit is equipped with a drop-side body that meets FUSO’s stringent truck body standards, ensuring durability and practicality for daily farming operations.

“We extend our gratitude to the local government of Burgos for selecting FUSO as a trusted partner in advancing agricultural operations,” said Mr. Yosuke Nishi, President & CEO of Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation. “At FUSO, we remain committed to delivering solutions that empower industries and drive economic progress. We look forward to supporting more initiatives that benefit local communities in the years ahead.”
