In its unwavering dedication to empowering future generations of automotive professionals, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has once again showcased its strong commitment to advancing technical education in the Philippines.
On September 4, 2024, IPC reinforced its long-standing partnership with Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School for Arts and Trade (JZGMSAT) by donating state-of-the-art equipment to enhance the school’s automotive service shop facility. The donation included a Tire Changer, Wheel Balancer, and a Tools Drawer—critical industry-standard equipment that will elevate the hands-on learning experience of the school’s students. This initiative is part of IPC’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed at improving the skills and competencies of future automotive service technicians across the country.
Leading the donation event was IPC President Tetsuya Fujita, who emphasized the importance of fostering educational programs that align with the company’s core values. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to corporate social responsibility and our vision of enhancing technical education and skills development in the automotive sector. It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness the positive impact our contributions have made, and we remain inspired to support initiatives that not only benefit students but also contribute to the progress of the industry,” Fujita remarked.
IPC’s partnership with JZGMSAT began in 2017 and has grown steadily over the years. The company has consistently supported the school by donating essential equipment, including computers, mock engines, and automotive lifters, among others. Additionally, IPC has provided specialized training in diesel technology, offering students the chance to gain invaluable hands-on experience with advanced automotive equipment. These efforts have significantly enhanced the school’s technical programs, giving its students a competitive advantage in the automotive field.
On behalf of the school, Director Archie Grande of TESDA Region IV-A highlighted the critical role of industry collaboration in improving educational outcomes. “Our success is deeply connected with the support and cooperation of industry leaders like Isuzu Philippines, who recognize the importance of investing in human capital. These partnerships help bridge the gap between academic training and the demands of the workforce,” Grande said.
Looking to the future, IPC plans to extend its partnerships with other educational institutions throughout the Philippines. The company believes that by investing in education and skills development, it can make a lasting impact on society and contribute to the continued growth of the country’s automotive industry.
“Our CSR initiatives are designed not only to align with our business objectives but also to address the needs of the communities we serve. We are committed to continuing our support for technical education and contributing to the development of the next generation of automotive professionals,” Fujita concluded.
