BoschPH’s #CareForEducation program with Teach for the Philippines raises P2.76M+

As Bosch’s #CareForEducation initiative with Teach for the Philippines (TFP) nears the completion of its second year, and it has successfully raised a total of 43,979 EUR (approximately 2,760,000 PHP). This impressive amount includes 28,044 EUR (around 1,760,000 PHP) contributed by Bosch Mobility Aftermarket (MA) Philippines and Bosch Primavera, along with 15,934 EUR (about 1,000,000 PHP) from Bosch Mobility Aftermarket distributor, Warren Automotive Company.

Through these contributions, Bosch MA has played a pivotal role in supporting TFP’s Student Programs for Literacy and Life Skills, benefiting over 1,500 students and 770 parents and guardians across the country. The results of these programs have been overwhelmingly positive, with an impressive 70% of students achieving higher literacy scores and 87% demonstrating substantial improvement in numeracy. Beyond academics, there have been notable paradigm shifts in students’ socioemotional mindsets, underscoring the holistic benefits of the initiative.

Building on the success of these interventions, Bosch MA Philippines and Bosch Primavera are committed to continuing their support for TFP as they launch the *Tara, Kaya!* program. This new initiative takes a more comprehensive approach to education, aiming not only to boost academic performance but also to build students’ confidence, emotional resilience, and social connections. The program is set to reach even more students and parents/guardians by 2025.

“The Care for Education initiative, now in its second year, has improved so many lives, and we look forward to continuing this positive impact in the years to come,” said Paulo Duarte, Managing Director of Bosch Philippines. “Ensuring access to education for all will bear fruits in an ever-growing population,” he added.

Mavie Almeda Ungco, Chief Executive Officer of Teach for the Philippines, echoed this sentiment: “We greatly appreciate how Bosch MA shares our vision of ensuring all Filipino children can benefit from quality education. Our continued partnership with education champions like Bosch MA enables us to innovate and ensure that we are able to deliver the most relevant programs for our public school students.”

To maintain the momentum for another impactful year of partnership, Bosch Mobility Aftermarket (MA) Philippines organized a *Brigada Eskwela* activity on August 16, 2024, to support the opening of School Year 2024-2025. A team of enthusiastic volunteer employees gathered at Bagong Silangan Elementary School in Quezon City to assist in repairing classroom furniture, refurbishing school facilities, and creating a conducive learning environment for public school students.

The #CareForEducation initiative is a core component of Bosch MA’s *Care For Life* campaign, which is focused on supporting vulnerable children’s communities across ASEAN. This effort is also supported by Bosch Primavera, a charitable organization founded by Bosch associates.

The launch of #CareForEducation in the Philippines marks the third country to activate Bosch MA’s ASEAN-wide *Care For Life* campaign. Other countries in the region, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, have also joined the campaign with initiatives tailored to focus on happiness, road safety, clean air, eyesight, and children’s health, respectively.
