Nissan has unveiled the all-new 2027 Rogue Hybrid in the United States, giving one of its core SUVs a new powertrain built around the company’s e-Power technology.
The Rogue Hybrid is significant for Nissan as the Rogue nameplate has become one of its key models in the US. Across three generations, the Rogue has sold nearly 4 million units globally. The new hybrid is intended to build on that foundation as Nissan looks to strengthen its position in one of its three lead markets.
At the center of the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is the e-Power, Nissan’s hybrid system. Unlike conventional hybrids, the gasoline engine in e-Power is not mechanically connected to the wheels. Instead, electric motors drive the wheels, while the gas engine generates electricity, essentially extending the vehicle’s range
Nissan says nearly 2 million e-Power-equipped vehicles have been sold globally across 68 markets since the technology was introduced in 2016. For the Rogue Hybrid, the system has been specifically tuned for North American customers and road conditions.
The launch also gives Nissan another way to bring e-Power into a high-volume SUV segment. Rather than simply adding hybrid assistance, the system makes electric-motor propulsion central to the drivetrain, setting the Rogue Hybrid apart from your typical hybrid electric vehicle. That distinction matters. The setup is designed to give the Rogue Hybrid the feel of an electric vehicle while retaining a gasoline engine as its source of electrical energy.
Nissan says the combination brings instant torque, along with a quieter and more efficient driving experience.
The technology is paired with the Rogue’s existing SUV formula, with Nissan highlighting its functionality, technology and packaging. Inside, the all-new Rogue Hybrid also gets a more modern and thoughtfully appointed cabin, with upgraded materials and added attention to interior refinement.
Available features include quilted TailorFit seating, ambient lighting and a panoramic moonroof, giving the hybrid SUV a more premium feel.
Production will take place at Nissan Motor Kyushu in Japan. The Rogue Hybrid SR AWD with the SR Technology Package is scheduled to reach US dealerships in fall 2026, while SV, SR and Platinum grades are due to follow in early 2027.
For now, Nissan has announced the Rogue Hybrid for the US market. The Japanese brand, however, not provide details on availability or specifications outside the country.

The Rogue Hybrid shows how Nissan is choosing to evolve its electrification strategy without abandoning a familiar SUV formula. The e-Power setup is particularly interesting because it separates engine operation from wheel drive, giving the Rogue Hybrid an electric-motor-driven character while retaining a gasoline engine for power generation.
That could make the technology easier to understand for buyers who want an electrified vehicle but are not ready to move to a full-on battery EV. The question for Philippine readers is availability. Nissan’s latest launch is focused on the US, and the brand does not indicate whether the Rogue Hybrid is planned for the local market.
