Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Volvo in the Philippines, has expanded its model lineup with the launch of two new all-electric vehicles, the ES90 Ultra BEV and the EX90 Ultra BEV. Volvo said that both electric vehicles are engineered with advanced safety technologies along with modern digital features and passenger comfort.
“With the launch of the Volvo ES90 Ultra BEV and EX90 Ultra BEV, we are introducing not only Volvo’s next-generation electric vehicles in the Philippines, but also the principle of shaping a future that values safety and responsibility,” said HARI Vice Chairman, President, and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.
2026 Volvo ES90 Ultra BEV
The Volvo ES90 Ultra BEV is an all-electric sedan that features a sleek exterior design complemented by crisp character lines. The front end has sharp-looking headlamps along with a large bumper that’s integrated with black trims. It also comes with a set of stylish wheels, flush door handles, and a sloping roofline with a fastback design.
Volvo PH said that the ES90 has a 0.25 Cd aerodynamic coefficient, which enables the electric vehicle (EV) to maximize its range. Meanwhile, the automatic spoiler shutter at the lower half of the fascia helps cool the high-voltage battery and operates automatically.

Inside, the Volvo ES90 has a modern theme, which is highlighted by the large infotainment touchscreen seen in the center of the dashboard. A smaller screen is seen behind the steering wheel, which serves as the ES90’s instrument gauge cluster. The steering wheel, on the other hand, comes with a gloss black trim where the controls are located. The said controls most likely come with a haptic function.
This electric sedan also comes with a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats with a massage function. It also has a four-zone climate control system, center armrest, and cupholders.

In terms of safety, the ES90 is equipped with an advanced sensor that monitors both driver behavior and the surrounding environment. It has seven cameras, five radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, which allow the EV to have comprehensive awareness of the road, obstacles, and other vehicles, according to Volvo. The ES90 also comes with Pilot Assist that includes Lane Keeping, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Navigation Support.
The ES90 Ultra BEV is said to be the first Volvo sedan to feature 800-volt EV architecture, marking a significant milestone in Volvo’s electrification journey. It offers a maximum range of 700 kilometers (WLTP) on a single charge, and it is capable of DC fast charging.
2026 Volvo EX90 Ultra BEV
The Volvo EX90 Ultra BEV is a seven-seater electric SUV that has several accolades in its resume, such as winning the World Car Awards and claiming the World Luxury Car title. Volvo PH said that the EX90 delivers an “exceptional level of safety, quietness, and advanced digital sophistication.”

Up front, it has the Volvo signature look, which explains why it looks similar to the ES90. It has the same headlight design, which is complemented by a large bumper with black trims. The side profile is characterized by crisp character lines, as well as the distinctive wheels.
Inside, the overall layout resembles how the ES90’s interior is designed. The EX90 also comes with a modern interior, thanks to the large infotainment touchscreen in the middle of the clutter-free dashboard. It also has a smaller screen, which is meant for the EX90’s instrument gauge cluster.

Volvo PH shared that the EX90 offers individually adjustable first-and-second-row seats, cinema-style seating, power-folding rear seats, with genuine third-row usability where every seat is fully functional. It also has a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, and PM2.5 air purification
Safety-wise, Volvo PH said that the EX90 is integrated with the brand’s new Safe Space Technology. This advanced safety ecosystem, according to Volvo, integrates eight high-resolution cameras, five radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, allowing the EX90 to create a precise, real-time 360° view of the vehicle’s surroundings.

It also has what Volvo calls the Driver Understanding System, which is a tech that monitors the driver’s state, where the system can anticipate potential risks and provide intelligent, AI-powered assistance when needed.
The Volvo EX90 comes with a 111 kWh high-voltage battery and delivers up to 624 kilometers of range (WLTP) on a single charge. It supports ultra-fast DC charging, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in approximately 22 minutes. The EX90 also comes with a 456 hp powertrain with 770 Nm of torque. Volvo claims the EX90 can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
