2025 SEAOIL Radical Challenge in full swing this weekend

On July 25-27, 2025, the 4.2 Km long Clark International Speedway (CIS) in Pampanga will host Round 1 of the SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines. For this season, Radical Cars Philippines announced an expanded race calendar, along with a stronger grid of participants, making for what could be the British purpose-built racecar brand’s most exciting one-make race season yet.

This year, the championship will have 4 rounds, shared between CIS and the 3.7 Km long Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC). After this, Round 2 will commence on August 22-24, still at CIS. Round 3 heads to BRC in September 26-28, while the title decider will return to CIS from October 17–19.

Radical Cars Philippines says that all race weekends will follow a 3-day format: Free Practice on Friday, Qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday, and two sprint races on Sunday. Each race runs for 30 minutes. Additionally, The grid is divided into 2 classes: the SR1 and SR3 Challenge Cups. Both use lightweight racing chassis, but the SR3 is faster with a 232 hp engine and six-speed sequential gearbox.

Looking back to last year, Mikey Jordan came out on top as the defending SR3 Class champion. Jordan will face the challenge of defending the title from his closest rivals Andre Rodrigues and Rafa Caceres. In the SR1 Class, 2-time AAP (Automobile Association Philippines) Driver of the Year, Miguel Quiñones, returns to chase the crown after finishing second in 2023. He will face new competitor Juha Turalba, a former karting champion and Miata Spec Series titleholder.

Marlon Stockinger, Radical Cars Philippines Motorsports Director, shared, “We’re now on our fourth season, marking a new chapter in the country’s fastest racing series.” The multi-awarded Filipino-Swiss racing driver added, “This year promises record-breaking action as drivers and teams go all-in for glory. It’s a testament to how far Philippine motorsport has come, and where we’re headed next.”
