Another chapter of formula racing is about to unfold in the country as Tuason Racing’s 2023 Formula V1 Race Challenge is set to start on June 9-10, 2023. Now in its fifth season, the series is expected to bring Philippine racing to a whole new level and set records to new heights.
The Formula V1 race car is built on the same chassis used on a West Racing Cars VITA-01. Developed and manufactured in Suzuka, Japan, a V1 race car is a single-seater “prototype” race car powered by a 110-horsepower Toyota 1NZ engine that powered several generations of the popular Toyota Vios.
For its 2023 season, Formula V1 was able to gain support from some of the country’s prestigious brands like Motul, FASA, Toptul, West Racing Cars, and OMP. The racing series is also supported by its media partners, C! Magazine, Skramble, Wheels Philippines, Autocar Philippines, TimeAttack Manila, Inquirer Mobility and Philippine Daily Inquirer. Formula V1 promises acting that racing fans will surely enjoy through its exciting three-round championship. The first leg will begin on June 9–10, with the second leg following on July 21-22, and the dramatic conclusion taking place on November 24-25, 2023. All races will be at Clark International Speedway.
