VinFast showcased the VF Wild Concept, an electric pickup truck, at the GAIKINDO Jakarta AutoShow 2025. The said electric truck is being pitted as VinFast’s challenger in the midsize pickup truck segment, pending the Vietnamese car brand’s decision to produce the VF Wild Concept.
The said electric truck was first introduced by VinFast at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in 2024. During its debut, VinFast said that the VF Wild Concept shows the brand’s “breakthrough creativity in developing sustainable mobility solutions with strong performance for a new generation of users.”
The VinFast VF Wild Concept features a sharp-looking exterior design, which is highlighted by the sleek yet rugged-looking front end. It comes with distinctive headlights, while the daytime running lights are similar to those of the current VinFast models in the Philippine market. The electric truck concept also has a large front bumper, adding muscle to the vehicle’s overall look.

Turning at the side, it has crisp character lines that are complemented by the prominent fender flares and a set of stylishly rugged wheels. The two-tone exterior paint of the VF Wild Concept further gives it a unique look. The VF Wild Concept also comes with a panoramic glass roof and digital side mirrors, which are regarded as elevating both the truck’s aesthetic and aerodynamic performance.
But what makes the VinFast VF Wild Concept is its rear design, specifically its bed. VinFast said that it comes with a flexible and expanding bed size that offers versatility and practicality, which are two key factors for a pickup truck. The VF Wild Concept’s bed length is designed to expand up to 8 feet or 2,438mm, which is possible through a power-folding mid-gate that involves folding the rear seats down automatically. As such, the expanding bed allows the VinFast VF Wils Concept to be versatile, especially when transporting cargo.

With its debut in Indonesia, could VinFast showcase the VF Wild Concept in the Philippines? It is possible since pickup trucks are one of the popular vehicles in the Philippine market. It would also make sense for VinFast Philippines to showcase its electric pickup truck here in the local market, as its rival Chinese car brands have already started to offer either an electric or hybrid pickup truck. Perhaps the annual Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is an ideal venue for VinFast PH to showcase the VF Wild Concept.
