VinFast has launched the Green electric vehicle (EV) rental program in the Philippines to offer an alternative for drivers in the ride-hailing industry and transport services amid the continuous upward trend of fuel prices due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The Vietnamese car brand said that the rental program is also designed to make it easier for drivers to switch to EVs, which will then support one of VinFast’s goals in helping the transport industry shift toward greener mobility.
“Expanding access to electric vehicles in Indonesia and the Philippines represents VinFast’s next logical step in advancing the green transition of the commercial transport sector, which plays a critical role in achieving sustainable development goals,” said VinFast Deputy CEO of Global Automotive Sales Duong Thi Thu Trang.
Under its rental program, interested individuals can rent from VinFast’s Green lineup through its authorized dealership network in the Philippines. VinFast shared that the Green EV rental program enables service drivers to access cost-effective and reliable EVs with low upfront costs. Under the rental model, drivers can start earning quickly with a low upfront deposit, long-term contracts, and competitive fixed daily rates starting from P1,000.
For service drivers who opt for the traditional ownership route, VinFast offers financing solutions tailored for commercial use. VinFast said that it is structured to minimize initial payments while aligning repayment schedules with drivers’ income streams, thereby supporting improved cash flow and shorter payback periods.

VinFast’s Green rental program includes EVs such as the Herio Green and the Limo Green. The car brand said that these two EVs are purpose-built for high-frequency transport services. It is claimed to be engineered for durability, energy efficiency, and optimized total cost of ownership, while maintaining comfort for daily operations.
The VinFast Limo Green is available in the Philippines, and it was officially launched last February 2026. The Limo Green is powered by a 60.13 kWh battery that powers the electric motor, generating an output of 201 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. VinFast claims that the Limo Green has a range of up to 450 kilometers on a single full charge.
The rollout of the ViFast Green rental program will begin in key areas, including Metro Manila in the Philippines and Greater Jakarta in Indonesia. It is expected to expand gradually across both markets.

Autocar’s Take
VinFast’s Green rental program is a nice initiative in offering an alternative to service drivers, especially those in ride-hailing or transport services. With the ongoing fuel price hike, VinFast hopes that its Green rental program will allow its vehicles to highlight the benefits or perks of owning and using an EV for transport services.
Through the Green rental program, VinFast also aims to encourage drivers to switch from internal combustion engine-powered vehicles to EVs to reduce emissions, especially in the transport sector. The said program also intends to make EV adoption more practical in countries where the upfront costs are among the issues when buying a vehicle.
