United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), a prominent automotive distributor, has officially become the exclusive distributor of BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd.) in the Philippines. The announcement was made during an exclusive preview event attended by motoring media, bankers, and dealer partners. Highlighting BAIC Philippines’ diverse lineup of SUVs and crossovers, the event showcased the collaboration between UAAGI’s executive leadership team and principals from BAIC’s global headquarters.
Held at the Palacio de Memoria in Parañaque City, the venue aptly complemented BAIC Philippines’ impressive vehicle lineup. Five new models were unveiled, including the B40 Ragnar, B80 Wagon, and B60 Beaumont, which are robust body-on-frame SUVs with powerful diesel and gas turbocharged engines ranging from 2.0 to 3.0 liters, generating torque figures from 380Nm to 420Nm. Additionally, the BAIC X55 Verve and X7 Grandeza, featuring petrol-powered engines with 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engines producing 305 Nm of torque, were showcased.
The indicative prices for the new BAIC models in the Philippines are as follows:
– BAIC B40 Ragnar: Php 2,400,000
– BAIC B60 Beaumont: Php 3,200,000
– BAIC B80 Wagon: Php 4,500,000
– BAIC X55 Verve: Php 1,400,000
– BAIC X7 Grandeza: Php 1,700,000
