The Corolla Cross Hybrid in stock form is already a well-versatile crossover vehicle. But folks at Toyota wanted to push the boundaries by exploring how they can transform the Corolla Cross into a more adventure- and mountain-ready vehicle. Enter the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Nasu Edition.

At first glance, one can’t deny that it is a beefed-up version of the standard Corolla Cross Hybrid, which is also available in the local market. The Corolla Cross Hybrid Nasu Edition is a concept car that reimagines the vehicle as a “bold, mountain-ready machine” or, in the Philippine setting, a crossover vehicle that’s ready to take on the roads leading to Lake Mapanuepe.

Toyota said that the concept vehicle is inspired by Japan’s scenic Mt. Nasu, which is a destination known for hiking, hot springs, and outdoor adventure. As such, the people at Toyota’s Service Parts and Accessories Development (SPAD), the team behind the Nasu Edition, designed the Corolla Cross Hybrid that blends off-road capability, distinctive styling, and lifestyle-focused accessories.

For context, Toyota’s SPAD team is a group dedicated to creating accessories that enhance functionality and style. With this background, it’s only fitting that the modifications it has integrated into the Corolla Cross Hybrid Nasu Edition combine form and function.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Nasu Edition is equipped with a one-off body kit featuring a modified hood scoop that distinguishes the Nasu Edition with an aggressive and rugged appearance. It also comes with overlanding equipment like rock sliders, a cargo basket, and a modified, articulating roof rack. The SPAD team also put a custom drawer system and a refrigerator on a sliding tray in the cargo area.

A custom wrap in a striking purple hue nods to another meaning of nasu in Japanese, “eggplant.” Providing finishing touches to the rugged exterior is the set of custom Toyota truck wheels wrapped with Toyo Open Country A/T III all-terrain tires.

It also has modified Toyota lightbars and fog lamps to illuminate the drive path, while custom illuminated door sills, puddle lamps, and cargo sills light up the interior and camp site. SPAD also placed a custom downhill mountain bike secured to the bike rack on the roof.

The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Nasu Edition will be on display at the 2025 SEMA Show from November 4 to 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
