Well, all good things must come to an end. After nearly three decades, the Honda Civic Type R is set to conclude its iconic run in Europe by 2026. As a farewell gesture, Honda released the “Ultimate Edition”, also serving as a commemoration of its 28-year production run.

Charlie Martin of Autocar UK reported that Honda said it’s removing the Type R from its line-up in 2026 because “the industry is changing and our model range is having to evolve with it in accordance with European legislation”.
Moreover, it’s due to the upcoming introduction of new, stricter emissions standards in the European Union and the UK, with which the Type R does not comply.
The “Ultimate Edition” is available in Championship White color with a black roof, red graphics, and a “Ultimate Edition” rear emblem. Other special elements are carbon wing spoiler, carbon door sill trims, and illuminated Type R pattern projector. Inside, there is a carbon center console, elegant red floor mats, and of course, an Ultimate Edition gift box.
According to the Honda UK site, the On-the-Road (OTR) price is £57,905 (straight conversion – PHP 4,407,448.92) According to Honda, they will build only 40 units, and only 10 will be made available in the UK.
