The Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 launched at the 9th PIMS

Ford Philippines is setting new standards in the performance pickup segment with the official Philippine launch of the Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6. This powerful addition to Ford’s lineup has arrived in response to growing demand from off-road enthusiasts across the country.

The new Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 takes center stage in Ford’s display at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) at the World Trade Center in Manila, from October 24-27, 2024. Engineered by Ford Performance, the Raptor 3.0L V6 is designed to master rugged terrains, elevating off-road capabilities for true enthusiasts.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the new Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 in the Philippines,” shares Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines. “This model reflects our commitment to listening to customers who asked for even more power and capability. We’re excited to see the Raptor brand continue to succeed with this powerful new addition.”

More Power for Adventure

Equipped with a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo EcoBoost engine delivering 397PS and 583Nm of torque, the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 features a 10-speed automatic transmission and an anti-lag system in Baja mode, allowing for a quick boost when accelerating out of corners. The high-strength, compacted graphite-iron cylinder block ensures robust performance, while an electronically controlled active exhaust system provides four sound modes: Quiet, Normal, Sport, and Baja, enhancing the driving experience from mild to wild.

Customizable Driving Experience

The MyMode “R” button allows drivers to personalize settings, including steering, suspension, exhaust mode, and four-wheel drive options, accessible through the steering wheel. Drive modes include:

Exhaust Modes:

  • Quiet: Prioritizes quietness, ideal for early mornings.
  • Normal: Balanced for daily use.
  • Sport: Louder and aggressive.
  • Baja: The most intense, for off-road use only.

Steering and Suspension Modes:
Adjustable settings, including Normal, Sport, Comfort, and Off-road, allow drivers to enhance handling for various driving conditions.

Off-Road-Ready Hardware

The Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6’s lightweight aluminum suspension system and FOX Live Valve dampers ensure exceptional control on rough terrain. This advanced system adapts in real-time, providing maximum control whether on highways or rugged trails.

Enhanced All-Terrain Control

The advanced four-wheel drive system with a two-speed transfer case and front/rear locking differentials makes the Raptor capable on any terrain. Seven selectable drive modes optimize performance across surfaces like gravel, mud, and sand. Key modes include Rock Crawl, Sand, Mud/Ruts, and Baja for high-speed off-roading.

High-Energy Design and Tech

With flared wheel arches, bold F-O-R-D grille lettering, Matrix LED headlights, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, the Raptor blends style with rugged functionality. Inside, jet fighter-inspired seats and a fully digital cabin featuring a 12.4-inch cluster and 12-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4A offer a connected and high-tech experience. The Bang & Olufsen sound system with 10 speakers and subwoofer adds to the premium feel.
