Suzuki Philippines highlighted its focus on fuel-efficient and practical mobility. This came after the Suzuki Dzire Hybrid and Suzuki Fronx Hybrid delivered a strong performance at the Department of Energy (DOE) 2025 Fuel Eco-Run. The event was held last September 24, 2025, along the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX).
The DOE Fuel Eco-Run is conducted annually to promote greater awareness of fuel efficiency among motorists while encouraging automotive manufacturers to develop vehicles that help reduce fuel consumption and emissions. For this year’s run, Suzuki participated under the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) category. The brand fielded the Dzire Hybrid GLX CVT and the Fronx Hybrid SGX AT, two of the brand’s popular models available in the local market today.
Based on the official results released by the DOE, the Suzuki Dzire Hybrid recorded a fuel economy rating of 36.10 km/Lge (kilometers per liter gasoline equivalent). The result underscores the Dzire Hybrid’s position as a highly efficient option for daily city driving and long highway trips. Its performance at the eco-run solidifies Suzuki’s efforts on maximizing efficiency without compromising everyday usability.

Meanwhile, the Suzuki Fronx Hybrid achieved a fuel economy rating of 24.69 km/Lge. This figure highlights the crossover’s balance of performance, fuel efficiency, and versatility, catering to motorists with more active lifestyles who still look after fuel consumption.
According to Norihide Takei, Director and General Manager of the Automobile Division of Suzuki Philippines, the results reinforce the brand’s long-standing philosophy of delivering practical and efficient vehicles that respond to real-world driving conditions. The executive noted that the 2025 DOE Fuel Eco-Run serves as an important, objective platform for measuring true fuel efficiency backed up by standardized conditions.

Takei further emphasized that fuel efficiency goes beyond cost savings, pointing to its role in promoting responsible mobility that also cares for the environment. Through models such as the Dzire Hybrid and the Fronx Hybrid, Suzuki continues to support government initiatives on energy conservation while providing reliable and economical vehicles for Filipino motorists.
