Shell Helix recently gathered auto workshop professionals, partners, and industry experts for the Shell Helix Past Track Auto Workshop Business Summit, held at the SMX Convention Center in Clark, Pampanga. There, the event focused on helping workshop owners adopt modern tools and strategies to improve business operations and service quality.

Shell Lubricants Philippines Vice President Jackie Famorca opened the summit. The official highlighted Shell Helix’s ongoing efforts to support independent workshop owners through training, updated equipment, and marketing assistance. A series of talks were held, each focusing on a particular area of business operations like social media presence, digitalization, modern finance management, and Shell’s programs to push business growth to greater heights.

The first part of the event featured AutoDeal’s senior car reviewer Caco Tirona. He discussed how the growing presence of hybrid and electric vehicles are helping to reshape how businesses operate. He mentioned that Shell’s modernized approach to operating auto workshops can be a great template to jumpstart one’s own business in the auto industry. Also, he concluded with a thought that in the business of auto workshops, the hands that keep the cars well maintained are just as vital to the business as the cars themselves.

The event also featured TikTok Shop Philippines Education and Incentives Manager Klaude Mandaya. He shared how workshop businesses can use social media and online platforms to reach more customers. He noted that aside from building credible social media business accounts, how people present themselves in livestream selling videos matter as well. He said that live-selling products and services should not be boring, and should be full of energy, enthusiasm, knowledge about the product or service, and real engagement with people in the chat box and comment sections.

The third speaker, Maya Business Head of National Sales Edbert Golangco, spoke about digital payment solutions and their advantages of helping streamline operation and improve customer experience. He pointed out the convenience of digitalizing payment and receiving business earnings, citing its security and ease of use. Physical cash transactions are important, but utilizing digital technology to streamline multiple revenue flows helps ease operation and provide peace of mind.

Shell Helix Brand Manager Jensen Garcia also introduced the B.E.S.T. framework, which stands for Brand Portfolio, Equipment and Service, Socials, and Training. The framework serves as the company’s guide in supporting its partner workshops. Garcia emphasized that Shell helix Partner Workshops have access to a complete line of engine oils, diagnostic tools, and ongoing technician training to maintain consistent top service quality.
