Porsche has fundamentally upgraded the iconic 911 sports car, introducing the new 911 Carrera GTS, the first street-legal 911 equipped with a super-lightweight performance hybrid. This innovative powertrain system, featuring a 3.6-litre displacement, delivers significantly enhanced driving performance. The 911 Carrera GTS Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h. The 911 Carrera, powered by a refined 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine, will also be available at launch, boasting greater power than its predecessor.
With the launch of the new 911, Porsche has modernized four of its six model lines in just a few months: Panamera, Taycan, Macan, and 911. “Our product portfolio is younger than ever and highly attractive,” says CEO Oliver Blume. “It offers our customers even more customization options and exclusive experiences.”
Motorsport-Inspired Hybrid Performance
For the new 911 Carrera GTS models, Porsche’s engineers utilized their extensive motor racing knowledge to design the hybrid system. “We developed and tested a wide variety of ideas and approaches to arrive at the hybrid system that would suit the 911 perfectly,” says Frank Moser, Vice President Model Lines 911 and 718. The lightweight and powerful T-Hybrid system features an electric exhaust gas turbocharger with an integrated electric motor that accelerates the turbocharger instantaneously, ensuring immediate boost pressure and a power boost of up to 11 kW (15 PS).
The powertrain includes a permanent magnet synchronous motor integrated into the new, more powerful eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK). Even at idle, it provides extra drive torque of up to 150 Nm and a power boost of up to 40 kW. Porsche has paired the electric motors with a lightweight, compact high-voltage battery, which operates at 400 V and stores up to 1.9 kWh of energy. The new 3.6-litre boxer engine, with VarioCam camshaft control and valve control with rocker arms, delivers 357 kW (485 PS) and 570 Nm of torque. Combined, the system outputs 398 kW (541 PS) and 610 Nm, enhancing performance while reducing CO₂ emissions with minimal weight increase.

Enhanced Performance and Design
The 911 Carrera features a comprehensively revamped 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine, now with an intercooler from the Turbo models. This engine delivers 290 kW (394 PS) and 450 Nm of torque, enabling the 911 Carrera Coupé to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono package) and achieve a top speed of 294 km/h.
The suspension of the 911 Carrera GTS has also been thoroughly revised, featuring standard rear-axle steering for improved stability and maneuverability. The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) anti-roll stabilization system is integrated into the high-voltage system, enhancing flexibility and precision. The sports suspension with a variable damper system (PASM) and lowered ride height provides characteristic GTS handling.
The new 911 is available with seven different wheel designs, including Exclusive Design wheels with carbon blades for improved aerodynamics. The 911 Carrera GTS models come standard with 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels, enhancing driving dynamics and traction.

Streamlined Exterior and Advanced Aerodynamics
The exterior design of the 911 has been optimized for aerodynamics and performance, featuring new, model-specific bumpers and matrix LED headlights. The 911 Carrera GTS models have five active cooling air flaps at the front and adaptive front diffusers in the underbody, enhancing air flow management for both minimal power requirements and high-performance situations.
Porsche offers optional HD matrix LED headlights with more than 32,000 light points and innovative functions such as dynamic cornering light and lane brightening. The redesigned rear end features a light strip with an integrated arc and ‘PORSCHE’ logo, a redesigned rear grille, and model-specific exhaust systems. An optional aero kit further enhances performance with distinctive front and rear design elements.
Modernized Interior and Connectivity
The interior of the new 911 combines Porsche’s design DNA with modern technology, featuring a fully digital 12.6-inch curved display and the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 10.9-inch central screen. The cockpit offers customizable driving modes and driver assistance systems, as well as new connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, video streaming, and native apps such as Spotify and Apple Music.
The new 911 also includes a cooled smartphone compartment with inductive charging, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an enhanced PCM with a QR code for simplified logging-on with the Porsche ID.
