Porsche celebrates 50 Years of the 911 Turbo with exclusive sneaker collection

In a thrilling tribute to the 50th anniversary of the iconic 911 Turbo, Porsche is excited to unveil a special series of twelve unique sneaker designs, crafted in collaboration with renowned sportswear manufacturer Puma. Limited to just 911 pairs per model, these sneakers are a must-have for Porsche enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Among the designs, two sneakers pay homage to legendary Porsche vehicles, reflecting their signature aesthetics. The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker is inspired by the historic Porsche gifted to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, featuring a striking metallic silver design complemented by the vibrant red and blue tartan pattern found in the original 911 Turbo’s interior.

The “Turbo 930” sneaker, showcased in an elegant Oak Green Metallic, draws its inspiration from Dr. Ferry Porsche’s 1976 Turbo model. This sneaker also boasts an inner lining adorned with the same green tartan pattern as Dr. Porsche’s vehicle, crafted from luxurious full-grain leather for the “Turbo No. 1” and nubuck leather for the “Turbo 930,” ensuring supreme comfort with every step.

Each sneaker features dynamic vintage turbo lettering and a subtle Porsche logo, while the heel pays homage to the distinctive “whale fin” of the rear spoiler, complete with a tonal Porsche Crest in 3D print. The lacing front is enhanced with a removable plaque celebrating the 50th anniversary. All models utilize the newly designed motorsport-inspired Puma “Road Rider” silhouette, blending style with performance.

A Global Celebration

In addition, Porsche is launching ten exclusive market editions, each inspired by a specific 911 Turbo model from various countries. These limited edition sneakers will be available in markets including Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, the UK, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, the U.S., and Canada, with only 911 pairs per design. Each sneaker showcases one of thirty colors from the original Porsche palette from 1975 to 1977.

The limited edition sneakers “Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930” will be available starting August 29th, 2024, at 9:11 a.m. (CEST), priced at €169. Customers can purchase them online at shop.porsche.com or at the Porsche Museum Shop in Stuttgart, Germany, where they will also receive a set of black laces for a customizable touch.
