Pinnacle Motorsport is thrilled to announce its partnership with KC Motorgroup Ltd (KCMG) and IXO Models for the inaugural FIA Formula Regional World Cup, which will take center stage at the 71st Macau Grand Prix from November 14th to 17th.
Competing under the banner KCMG IXO by Pinnacle Motorsport, the team will field a two-car lineup showcasing a striking blue-and-black livery. The lineup is headlined by accomplished drivers Noel León and Mari Boya. León, a seasoned competitor in single-seaters, has claimed titles in the 2019/20 NACAM Formula 4 Championship, the 2021 F4 United States Championship, and the 2023 Euroformula Open Championship. Currently racing in FIA Formula 3, the Mexican driver is well-acquainted with the 6.120 km Guia Circuit, having competed in last year’s FIA F3 World Cup.
Spaniard Mari Boya brings familiarity and experience to the Pinnacle Motorsport garage. He previously raced with the Motorsport Ireland-licensed team in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship, securing three podium finishes during his campaign for the 2024 title. Boya also returns to Macau, where he achieved a strong fourth-place finish in last year’s Grand Prix, and has since earned a win in FIA Formula 3.
This year marks the debut of Formula Regional cars at the event, which will run alongside the prestigious FIA GT World Cup. KCMG IXO by Pinnacle Motorsport is one of 12 teams vying for success in this thrilling new chapter of the Macau Grand Prix.
Established in 2007 by Paul Ip, KCMG is a global motorsport services group based in Hong Kong. The organization has a wide-reaching presence across Europe and the Asia Pacific region, competing in various Formula, GT, and endurance racing series. In 2021, KCMG launched the KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) to nurture young talent with the potential to race for the team. The program provides comprehensive training and opportunities for its drivers across multiple championships and partnerships.
