It seems that Mazda is revamping its model lineup as it plans to discontinue two vehicles, the Mazda CX-3 and the Mazda2. The news that Mazda is going to end the production of the two vehicles allegedly came from internal dealer documents, according to Japanese car website Creative Trend

The report stated that Mazda is set to end the production of the CX-3 and the Mazda2 this year. In fact, the Japanese automaker seems not to be slowing down in ending the production of the two Mazda vehicles, as it plans to reportedly implement it as early as the first quarter of 2026.

The first to be axed among the two vehicles is the CX-3, which is said to end production by March 2026. The Mazda CX-3 is a five-seater subcompact crossover SUV that rivals the likes of the Honda HR-V, Toyota Yaris Cross, and Nissan Kicks, among others. Locally, Mazda Philippines is no longer offering the CX-3, and the most compact crossover SUV you can drive home from Mazda is the CX-30, priced starting at P1,995,000.

The Mazda2, on the other hand, is said to reach its curtain call by June 2026. Speculation about the Mazda2’s successor could be inspired by the Mazda Vision X-Compact concept, which debuted at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show.

Mazda shared that the Vision X-Compact is a concept designed to “deepen the bond between people and cars through the fusion of a human sensory digital model and empathetic AI.” The Japanese automaker added that the Vision X-Compact represents how future vehicles can adapt to a driver’s emotions, routines, and preferences, creating a more personal and engaging driving experience. In the Philippines, the Mazda2 Hatchback is available with a price tag of P1,250,000.

The report published by Creative Trend also mentions that Mazda’s order deadline for the CX-30 and Mazda2 will be as soon as the number of orders reaches the limit.
