Kawasaki Philippines shared that it has ended 2025 on a good note as it managed to achieved strong sales performance, cornering a huge chunk of the Philippine tricycle segment. Kawasaki said that its 2025 sales performance in the segment reinforces its position as the preferred motorcycle brand for livelihood and utility use nationwide.

In a report shared by Kawasaki PH, the brand was able to secure a 61.5 percent market share in the Philippine tricycle segment in 2025. The motorcycle brand added that its sales performance in 2025 translates to a 14.8 percent year-on-year growth, which is a positive result for Kawasaki.

Kawasaki PH was able to maintain its foothold in the local tricycle segment through the strong sales performance of the Barako 175 and the CT motorcycle lineup. The brand said that these motorcycle models remain a popular choice in the local market due to their “fuel efficiency, reliability, and suitability for daily commercial operations.” These models, according to Kawasaki PH, continue to play a vital role in supporting income-generating activities, particularly in provincial and semi-urban communities.

The Kawasaki Barako is available with two variants, the Barako II and the Barako III. The former comes with a starting price of P91,500, while the latter has a starting price of P96,500. The Kawasaki CT lineup, on the other hand, comes with the following options: CT100 (starts at P56,700), CT100B (starts at P54,200), CT125 (starts at P59,700), and CT150 (starts at P69,500).

Aside from the notable sales performance in the tricycle segment, Kawasaki PH reports that it has also done well in the motorcycle sales in 2025. The brand shared that it has recorded a 15.7 percent year-on-year growth in total motorcycle sales, which Kawasaki said has exceeded the industry’s overall growth rate. Kawasaki PH expressed that its 2025 sales performance marked the strongest growth among major Japanese motorcycle brands in the local market, reflecting demand across both its Regular Bikes and Leisure Bikes categories.

Kawasaki PH added that it is set to expand its Leisure Bikes model lineup with upcoming model introductions in February 2026. While yet to be revealed, the brand said that its expanded model lineup will feature models that were previously unveiled at major international motor shows such as the Japan Mobility Show and EICMA in 2025.

Autocar’s Take

Kawasaki Philippines’ 2025 sales performance shows that offering utilitarian motorcycle models is one of the ways to capture a significant market share. In the case of Kawasaki, it offers the Barako and the CT line, allowing them to have diverse model offerings for potential clients. Aside from having a wide range of options, the local market has associated Kawasaki’s products with descriptions such as reliable, fuel efficient, and easy to use, which are important points for people who are in need of utilitarian motorcycles.

Kawasaki PH hopes to carry its momentum into 2026 as it plans to expand its Leisure Bikes lineup, which features models that were launched last year at major mobility and international motorcycle shows.
