Jetour officially announces PH entry, unveils introductory lineup

Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. officially announced its entry to the Philippine automotive market in a special unveil to the local motoring media held at Okada Manila. During the brand launch, the company introduced four models that will usher the brand’s bid into the industry.

Jetour is an auto brand under Chery Holdings Group that was launched in January 2018. Despite being fairly new in the industry, the brand carries over Chery’s more than two decades of automotive engineering expertise.

Making the Philippine arrival of Jetour possible is the collaboration between two local automotive dealer companies, Gateway Group and AutoSpeedyGo. The partnership of the two dealer groups holds the exclusive distributorship of the brand in the country.

“We believe that the collective experience and expertise between these two groups behind Jetour Auto Philippines will be invaluable and instrumental in guaranteeing the success of the brand in the country,” added JAPI managing director Miguelito Jose. “We will definitely be leveraging their strength, contacts, and wisdom.”

During the media preview event, Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. general manager Miguelito Jose introduced the brand’s four introductory models – the full electric mini EV Ice Cream EV, seven-seater subcompact crossovers X70 range, X70 Plus, and the brand’s flagship model Dashing.

The Jetour X70 is priced starting at PHP 1,099,000 for its Journey variant. The entry-level X70 sits up to seven occupants and is equipped with Electronic Parking Brakes. The mid trim X70 Travel is priced at PHP 1,259,000 and comes with Panoramic Sunroof and a set of 20-inch alloy rims. The top-of-the-line X70 Sport comes with Panoramic Sunroof, Electronic Rear Tailgate, and Brown Leather Interior all for the price of PHP 1,299,000.

Meanwhile, the X70’s bigger brethren Jetour X70 Plus aims to contend with the Geely Okavango and the diesel-powered Toyota Innova with its PHP 1,499,000 price tag.

The four-seater mini full-electric Jetour Ice Cream EV, which packs up to 170 km range, is priced at PHP 699,000.

The brand’s flagship model Dashing aims to take on the compact crossover market with its super SUV styling. Priced at PHP 1,329,000, the Dashing offers wireless charging, seven charging ports, Intelligent Entry System via its Smart Rubiks’ Cube Key, Intelligent Driver Assist System, Armrest Console with refrigeration function, and Panoramic Sunroof among many others.

If the impressive features and significant price undercut of Jetour SUVs garner your attention, well Jetour Auto Philippines’ warranty program might just impress you even more. As per the brand’s general manager, Jetour vehicles will come with a 6-year general warranty with unlimited mileage coverage. Further assuring future customers of worry-free Jetour ownership, a 10-year engine warranty will also come in every purchase.

Jetour vehicles will be available for purchase following the official public debut of the brand that will be happening at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show in April.
