JETOUR AutoPH & Team Kramer host Basketball Clinic for customers, partners

JETOUR Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) and Brand Ambassador Team Kramer teamed up for an exhilarating afternoon of basketball on Saturday, August 10, at the Kerry Sports Arena in Shangri-La The Fort, Bonifacio Global City. The event brought together JETOUR customers, dealer partners, and media representatives for a dynamic basketball clinic.

The day was filled with spirited games, featuring the JAPI team and PBA veteran Doug Kramer facing off against teams composed of JETOUR customers and media members. Between games, Doug and his son Gavin led clinics for the children of media members and customers, creating a memorable and engaging experience for all participants.

This family-friendly event perfectly captured the essence of JAPI and Team Kramer’s shared values of teamwork, fitness, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. As JAPI emphasized, the active lifestyle promoted by Team Kramer since becoming JETOUR brand ambassadors in 2023 aligns seamlessly with the brand’s lineup of well-engineered and designed SUVs, Crossovers, PHEVs, and EVs.

Doug Kramer’s approach to basketball mirrors the core characteristics of the JETOUR brand: strong and aggressive on the court, versatile in play, and committed to doing whatever it takes to secure a win. Just as Doug has demonstrated his ability to grind it out for the long term, JETOUR vehicles are designed and engineered to stand out, be versatile and adaptable for families, and offer long-lasting reliability and safety.

Kramer, a key player on the Ateneo de Manila University Men’s Basketball Team that won the UAAP championship in 2002, had a distinguished career in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 2007 to 2019. Known for his rebounding and scoring prowess, he earned spots on the PBA All-Rookie Team in 2008 and the All-Defensive Team in 2012, ultimately becoming a PBA champion with the San Miguel team in the 2014-2015 season.

Joining the event were JAPI executives, including Executive Director Vincent Licup, Managing Director Miguelito Jose, Marketing Director Cherry May De Los Santos, Aftersales Director Eryx Guiang, Sales Deputy Director Hilda San Juan, Dealer Development Officer-In-Charge Jun San Miguel, and Training and Product Development Manager Mark Paz.

“In order to be good at a sport like basketball, it helps if you have the natural talent for it. But in order to be truly great, talent is not enough. You have to continuously practice your game. Practice the basics, practice the footwork, dribbling, shooting, and rebounding. It’s what will make you face your fellow competitors with confidence. Always remember that basketball is a team sport. The goal is to be able to score more points as a team, and that involves a lot of strategies that will require everyone to play as a team. When you play as a team, selfless and with one goal in mind, then you become truly hard to beat,” said Doug Kramer.

Managing Director Miguelito Jose expressed his pride in the event: “We at JAPI are extremely happy to see our Brand Ambassador Team Kramer hooping it up and having fun with our valued customers, dealer partners, and media friends. Playing sports is the universal way of gathering people and forging strong bonds with them. And we all know that basketball is one of the most well-loved sports in the Philippines. Doug and his family have been the ideal role models for young Filipino families, and we are very proud that the Kramer family shares in the values we at JAPI consistently espouse. Team Kramer has helped JETOUR be top-of-mind among tens of millions of Filipinos. They’re the real MVPs of brand ambassadors.”
