IsuzuPH TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Center honors Batch 21 graduates

Batch 21

The Isuzu Heart and Smile Project (IHSP), an initiative by Isuzu Motors Limited Japan (IML), proudly announces the graduation of Batch 21 from the Isuzu TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Center in Tacloban, Leyte. This latest batch includes 17 scholars who have successfully achieved the prestigious National Competency IV (NC IV) certification for Service Technicians.

Since its establishment in 2008, the IHSP has been a beacon of hope for underprivileged youth, offering comprehensive training from NC I to NC IV over a two-year period. The program is renowned not only for its rigorous training but also for its robust support system, which includes free boarding and lodging for all trainees.

In addition to the standard TESDA curriculum, Isuzu enhances the educational experience with specialized classes on Isuzu diesel technology and other relevant topics. This holistic approach ensures that graduates are well-equipped with both general and specialized skills needed in the automotive industry.

Graduates from the Isuzu TESDA Auto Mechanic Training Center also have the opportunity to further their expertise through the Isuzu Global Service Corporation (IGSC). Select graduates receive advanced training focused on light to heavy-duty truck servicing, reinforcing Isuzu’s commitment to excellence in aftersales support.

During his speech, Mr. Tetsuya Ikemoto, IML Director of the Board and Managing Executive Officer of the Sales Division, reiterated the importance of the school’s values, emphasizing the effective application of learned skills, contribution to company development, and giving back to family and society. He also expressed his hope that the graduates would continue to promote and enhance the school’s reputation by achieving outstanding track records.

With the addition of Batch 21, the training center now boasts 403 graduates, strengthening Isuzu’s aftersales network worldwide. Alongside the graduation ceremony, Isuzu also welcomed Batch 25, consisting of 18 new trainees. These incoming scholars will begin their journey this month, aiming to complete their NC IV certification within the next two years.

Isuzu’s dedication to developing top-tier service technicians not only enhances its brand reputation as the number one truck brand but also ensures superior customer service. Graduates from the program have consistently demonstrated exceptional servicing skills, earning recognition both locally and internationally.
