IsuzuPH holds two-day Customer Camp-Out in Zambales

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently wrapped up an exhilarating two-day adventure with D-MAX owners and car club members at the Isuzu D-MAX Camp-Out, held on September 14-15, 2024. The event, set against the scenic backdrop of Crystal Beach, Zambales, showcased the off-road capabilities and fuel efficiency of the Isuzu D-MAX while combining eco-driving, overlanding, and family-friendly fun.

The journey kicked off at Isuzu Manila, where participants geared up for a 160-kilometer eco-drive to Petron Subic for a fuel top-up and efficiency check. After logging their final fuel consumption results, the convoy continued to Crystal Beach, where a hearty lunch awaited before the afternoon’s off-road activities began.

Led by Overland Kings’ Joel Pedro, participants enjoyed an engaging “Overlanding 101” session, with 4WD expert Beeboy Bargas demonstrating off-road techniques. The focus was on the Isuzu D-MAX’s new Differential Lock System and Rough Terrain Mode, designed to enhance performance in challenging conditions.

“This event provides a fantastic opportunity for our customers to experience firsthand the superior handling and capabilities of the Isuzu D-MAX’s Difflock and Rough Terrain Mode,” said IPC President Tetsuya Fujita. “These advanced features give drivers added control and confidence, especially on tough terrain.”

The D-MAX’s Differential Lock System allows drivers to lock the rear differential, delivering equal power to both rear wheels for improved traction on uneven or slippery surfaces. Paired with Rough Terrain Mode, these features optimize the D-MAX for off-road adventures, positioning it as an ideal vehicle for overlanders and off-road enthusiasts.

The afternoon’s activities concluded with family-oriented games, including a hotdog and hamburger eating contest. Participants then relaxed and enjoyed the resort’s amenities, underscoring the D-MAX’s versatility as a vehicle for both rugged terrain and family adventures.

“We highly value the feedback and loyalty of our customers,” added Fujita. “The 2024 Isuzu D-MAX was designed with you in mind, offering the ultimate blend of capability, comfort, and performance. It truly is the ‘Ultimate Lifestyle Vehicle.’”

The event culminated in a dinner program where IPC announced the winners of the eco-drive challenge. Van Vince Leano secured first place with an impressive fuel efficiency of 18.70 km/l, followed by Angelo Dela Cruz at 17.48 km/l, and Ronasis Alan Reyes at 16.91 km/l. These results reaffirm the D-MAX’s renowned fuel efficiency, even with the latest performance upgrades featured in the 2024 model.

Powered by the advanced 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power engine, the 2024 D-MAX delivers 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque, offering the perfect balance of power and fuel economy. The engine’s Blue Power technology ensures lower emissions and optimized performance, making the D-MAX a standout choice for both off-road adventures and daily drives.

The weekend concluded with a feast catered by SARSA Kitchen, accompanied by live music, providing a fitting end to an action-packed event.
