IsuzuPH commands 43% of truck market in Q1 2025

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has once again secured its position as the country’s top truck brand, posting a commanding 43% market share from January to April 2025. The figure is based on consolidated sales data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA), with IPC recording 1,592 truck units sold during the period.

This continued market dominance underscores Isuzu’s 25-year track record as the most trusted truck brand in the country.

“Our continued leadership in the truck market reflects the brand’s unwavering commitment to delivering vehicles that truly work for our customers. Owning an Isuzu truck means investing in a product that is proven to last longer, perform more efficiently, and cost less to maintain over time,” said IPC President Mikio Tsukui. “With strong nationwide aftersales support, our trucks help businesses stay competitive, reduce downtime, and enhance profitability.”

Consistent Sales Across Key Segments

Leading the lineup is the Isuzu N-Series, which registered 905 units sold—up by 7.2% compared to the same period in 2024. Its appeal remains strong among logistics and delivery operators, particularly with the availability of the Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT), ideal for urban driving conditions.

Medium-duty trucks followed with 545 units sold, marking a 2.4% year-on-year increase. Known for flexibility and long-distance capability, these trucks are built to accommodate a range of body applications and emphasize driver safety.

Heavy-duty trucks also saw notable growth, with sales rising 59% to 142 units. The new S&E Series played a key role in this surge, with demand coming primarily from infrastructure and public sector projects. Equipped with features such as Electronic Vehicle Stability Control (EVSC) and an Advanced Instrument Cluster with Driver Coaching, these trucks are setting new standards in safety and efficiency.

A Strong Aftersales Backbone

Isuzu’s long-term success is supported by the ‘Isuzu Advantage’—a comprehensive aftersales program that includes a nationwide dealer and parts network, Mobile Medic on-site maintenance services, and the support of expert field engineers.

Training programs for drivers and mechanics further strengthen Isuzu’s value proposition, ensuring operational efficiency and long-term reliability for fleet owners.

“With this strong start to 2025, we are optimistic about sustaining our momentum throughout the year,” Tsukui added. “We believe our unmatched combination of product excellence and dependable support will allow us to retain our leadership in the Philippine truck market.”
