Inchcape Philippines has earned international recognition after receiving the prestigious Brand Contribution Award. The title was given during the Global Strategy Launch and Global Partner Conference hosted by Changan Automobile in Chongqing, China.
The award recognizes Inchcape Philippines’ role in strengthening the Changan brand in the local market through impactful marketing initiatives, strong brand performance, and growing customer engagement in 2025. The recognition also highlights the continued rise of Changan Philippines in the competitive automotive industry in the country.
Held last April 21, the conference carried the theme “Innovation-Driven, Intelligence-Led,” where Changan outlined its long-term global direction focused on intelligent mobility, green technology, ecosystem integration, and international expansion.
During the event, Changan discussed several strategic priorities, including the advancement of intelligent vehicle technologies, expansion of new energy vehicles (NEVs), and the development of a more sustainable automotive ecosystem. The Chinese automaker also emphasized its commitment to localized global operations as it continues to expand its presence worldwide.

Changan highlighted its strong global footprint, with over 30 million vehicles sold under Chinese brands and 22 overseas manufacturing facilities. The company also underscored its extensive research and development network spread across six countries and supported by around 24,000 engineers.
For the Philippine market, Changan Philippines continues to expand its lineup with both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electrified mobility solutions. Its current local range includes models such as the Eado Plus, CS35 Max, CS55 Plus, X7 Plus, Uni-T, and Uni-K.
Meanwhile, customers looking for greener mobility options can choose from Changan’s growing NEV lineup, including the Nevo Q05 PHEV, Nevo Hunter K50, Nevo A05, and the Lumin BEV. The brand noted that these models deliver competitive driving range figures within their respective segments.
The recognition received by Inchcape Philippines reflects the growing visibility of Changan vehicles in the country, especially as more Filipino motorists begin exploring affordable and technology-driven mobility solutions.
Changan Philippines currently operates 14 dealerships nationwide as it continues to strengthen its presence in the local automotive market. Backed by Changan’s more than 160 years of industrial heritage and global automotive expertise, the brand is positioning itself as a serious player in the evolving Philippine mobility landscape.

Autocar’s Take
The Brand Contribution Award given to Inchcape Philippines is more than a corporate milestone. It reflects changing consumer attitudes toward modern mobility, new energy vehicles, and technology-focused cars. Filipino buyers are becoming more open to brands that offer strong value, advanced features, and competitive pricing.
Changan’s growing lineup of ICE and NEV models also arrives at a time when interest in electrified mobility is steadily increasing in the Philippines. If the momentum continues, Changan could become one of the more influential emerging automotive brands locally.
