HyundaiPH honors Phil-Kor diplomatic milestone with “Partnership Beyond Borders” campaign

Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) celebrates 75 years of enduring diplomatic ties between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea with its “Partnership Beyond Borders” campaign. Commemorating this milestone is a series of cultural fusion events, starting with the Hyundai Mobility Experience (HME) tour featuring special stops for Filipinos.

The “Partnership Beyond Borders” campaign merges the rich cultures and futures of both nations in art, fashion, and music. The campaign was inaugurated at the SM Megamall where HMPH partnered with four up-and-coming local artists to present a collection of upcycled pieces, spotlighted by the Hyundai IONIQ 5, symbolizing our commitment to progress and innovation.

The event kicked off with a mesmerizing kulintang drum performance by the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) and Pilipino Etniko Ritmo Kanta sa Sayaw (PERKS), blending Korean and Filipino rhythms. HMPH executives, including President Mr. Dongwook Lee and Managing Director Mr. Cecil Capacete, along with esteemed guests, graced the occasion.

Featured designs include “Synthesia” by Glyn Alley Magtibay, creatively merging Filipino baro’t saya and Korean Hanbok using discarded X-rays. Amor Albano’s “East Meets Amore” draws inspiration from Filipino pastillas wrappers, embodying a fusion of Filipino and Korean elements. Glady Rose Pantua’s “Strange Beauty” highlights Filipino-Korean features through tassels and handwoven Yakan Clothing. Leeroy New’s “Bioniq 1.0” presents an eco-friendly upside-down vehicle sculpture made from renewable materials.

The next installment of the “Partnership Beyond Borders” campaign will be at the Artist Village at Camp Mariana in Jala-jala, Rizal. Visitors can also explore Hyundai vehicles and enjoy exclusive discounts and perks.
