GAC now has three new EVs under Aion brand

GAC showcased three new electric vehicles at the 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit: the Aion V, the Hyptec HT, and the Aion UT. These three new EVs show GAC’s commitment to expanding its model lineup in the Philippines. 

Under the theme “GAC Global Ecosystem — Leading a New Era of Green Mobility in the Philippines,” GAC announced the official market launch of two all-new battery EVs, the Aion V and Hyptec HT. The brand also debuted the Aion UT in the Philippines following its success in Thailand. 

The GAC Aion V is a five-seater crossover SUV that’s designed for urban families and professionals. It is equipped with GAC’s Magazine Battery 2.0 and delivers a CLTC-rated range of 520 km. The brand shared that it can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in just under 20 minutes via DC fast charging. It is available in two variants, Elite and Premium.

The Aion V Elite variant comes with a 64.5 kWh battery, while the Premium trim has a 75.3 kWh battery. The Elite delivers 181 hp and 240 Nm of torque, while the Premium trim delivers 221 hp and 240 Nm of torque. 

Pricing for the GAC Aion V starts at P1,498,000 with an 8-year comprehensive warranty and 8-year motor and battery warranty.

GAC also showcased the Hyptec HT, an electric SUV that is said to redefine comfort and design. It features dual-stage electric gullwing doors, which give the vehicle a bold presence when standing still. The Hyptec HT also comes with Nappa leather interiors, reclining rear seats, and a 14.6-inch HD infotainment display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155. Moreover, the brand shared that it has a submarine-grade steel body and advanced safety systems. 

The Hyptec HT is equipped with an 83 kWh battery that offers 605 km of range and can be charged from 10 percent to 70 percent in 15 minutes. GAC said that the EV’s battery lifespan is around 1.5 million kilometers or 15 years. Pricing for the Hyptec HT starts at P2,260,000. It comes with an 8-year comprehensive warranty and an 8-year motor and battery warranty.

Making its Philippine debut, the Aion UT targets younger, tech-savvy drivers.  The Aion UT achieved notable success in Thailand, recording 1,000 deliveries in 39 days. GAC added that the Aion UT combines intelligent features with youthful design, offering Filipino drivers a preview of the model that GAC plans to introduce to the local market soon.
