
Chery maintains its presence in the automotive market as it posted record-breaking global sales in 2025. The Chinese car brand said it managed to end last year’s sales run by posting more than 2.8 million units sold globally.
Chery shared that it has achieved a historic 2,806,393 units sold in 2025. In fact, the car brand shared that it managed to sell 244,928 vehicles in December 2025 alone. As such, its 2025 sales performance is the highest in Chery’s history.
Its record-breaking 2025 sales numbers are supported by 1,344,020 vehicles exported, which reflects a 17.4 percent year-on-year increase, according to Chery. With this, Chery said that it managed to maintain its foothold as the number one vehicle exporter in China, which has been running for 23 consecutive years. The brand’s wide global reach now translates to a customer base of around 18.53 million worldwide.
Aside from the stellar 2025 sales performance, Chery announced that the Chery Tiggo rEV LE (sold as the Tiggo 8 in other markets) has won the UK-based Carwow Car of the Year 2026.

Speaking of which, the Chery Tiggo rEV LE also achieved a five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) and the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). The car brand said that this shows its commitment to producing safe and smart vehicles.
Chery added that it is a car brand that aims to engineer its vehicles that prioritize safety, reliability, and advanced protection technologies. By meeting the stringent safety standards of globally respected assessment programs, Chery reinforces its dedication to providing drivers and passengers with confidence and peace of mind.
Locally, Chery Auto Philippines is also proud to report that the Tiggo rEV Luxury Edition has performed well during the 2025 Fuel Eco Run, organized by the Department of Energy (DOE). The Chery Tiggo rEV LE managed to return an efficiency rating of 84.28 km/L. Chery PH shared that the Tiggo rEV is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission with a 1,400km combined EV and hybrid range.
