Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) announced that it has achieved a significant milestone, as it has now sold over 1,000 Tiggo rEV units. The car brand said that this reflects the growing number of Filipino motorists who are embracing electrified mobility.

Chery PH said that the increasing presence of the Tiggo rEV on local roads comes alongside its sales momentum in 2026. The Chinese car brand recorded 220 retail sales in June, posting a 69 percent year-on-year increase from its sales in June 2025. From January to June 2026, CAP reached 981 retail sales, representing a strong 58 percent year-to-date growth.

“The milestone of over 1,000 Tiggo rEVs on Philippine roads means that more customers are discovering that the Tiggo rEV delivers the right balance of efficiency, performance, comfort, and advanced technology while providing real savings in everyday driving. We are grateful for the trust our customers continue to place in the Chery brand, and we remain committed to delivering mobility solutions that make every family journey smarter and more rewarding,” said Chery Auto PH Brand Head Franz Decloedt.

Meanwhile, last May, Chery PH announced that it had posted a notable 82 percent year-on-year sales increase in May 2026. This is after it managed to sell 202 units in May, which is also regarded as one of Chery PH’s strongest monthly sales performances to date this year.

Chery said that its strong May sales performance is driven by more Filipino motorists who are appreciating the brand’s growing portfolio of “intelligent, electrified, and value-driven mobility solutions.” Chery added that its sales growth is due to the increasing demand for vehicles that combine “advanced technology, efficiency, safety, comfort, and exceptional value.”

The car brand noted that it is also continuing its efforts to strengthen the ownership experience through the nationwide aftersales support backed by United Asia Automotive Group Inc.’s (UAAGI) 20 years of automotive expertise. Chery PH also aims to further expand its network as it plans to increase its presence in the Visayas.

Autocar’s Take

Chery Auto Philippines is proud to announce that it has already managed to sell over 1,000 Tiggo rEV units, a sales milestone worth celebrating considering the tightly contested local automotive market. Surpassing the 1,000 sales mark is a great feat, and it shows that the Tiggo rEV is well-received and is likely to continue to be well-received by the market.

Despite achieving notable accomplishments in sales, Chery PH aims to further expand its network to make the brand more accessible to potential clients. To do this, it has announced its intention to strengthen its presence in the Visayas region.
