Pasay City, Philippines — BYD, the global leader in New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), has officially launched the all-new eMAX 7 in the Philippines. Marking a major milestone as the first fully-electric MPV in the local market, the BYD eMAX 7 sets a new benchmark in style, functionality, and sustainable mobility for Filipino families.
The launch follows BYD’s record-breaking 2024 global performance, having sold over 4.25 million NEVs and generating USD 107 billion in revenue—a 29% year-on-year increase. With this momentum, BYD Cars Philippines, under ACMobility, aims to make a bold impact in one of the country’s most competitive segments.
A Fresh Standard for Modern MPVs
Available in two variants—the 7-seater Standard and the 6-seater Superior Captain—the eMAX 7 is tailored for diverse family needs. BYD Cars Philippines Managing Director Bob Palanca describes it as “smart, spacious, and innovative—the perfect choice for those seeking comfort, practicality, and safety in one vehicle.”
Both versions come with BYD’s signature Dragon Face 3.0 design, characterized by a bold grille and crystal floating LED headlights reminiscent of the premium Han and Tang models. With aerodynamic contours, sculpted body lines, and 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, the eMAX 7 is designed to make a confident and refined impression on the road.
Built for Comfort, Designed for Versatility
Inside, the eMAX 7 prioritizes comfort and flexibility. The Standard variant accommodates seven passengers, while the Superior Captain trim enhances second-row comfort with plush captain’s chairs. High-quality leather upholstery, soft-touch surfaces, and a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto create a premium cabin experience.
Cargo capacity is another strong suit. With up to 980 liters of storage space, the eMAX 7 ensures practicality for family getaways, shopping runs, or spontaneous road trips.
Smart and Safe Mobility
Safety is at the core of the eMAX 7’s DNA. Both variants come standard with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, traction and stability control, anti-lock brakes, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Superior Captain variant ups the ante with BYD’s DiPilot Advanced Driver Assistance System. Features include Lane-Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Rear Cross Traffic Braking—tech normally reserved for luxury vehicles, now available in a family-oriented electric MPV.
Smooth, Silent, and Efficient Electric Performance
Powering the eMAX 7 is BYD’s advanced 8-in-1 electric powertrain paired with the revolutionary Blade Battery, offering safety, longevity, and high energy density. Both variants use a permanent magnet synchronous motor that ensures instant torque and smooth acceleration.
The Standard model is equipped with a 55.4 kWh battery producing 163 PS and 310 Nm of torque, with a range of up to 420 kilometers. The Superior Captain version features a 71.8 kWh battery delivering 204 PS and the same torque output, capable of up to 530 kilometers on a single charge.
Ride quality is enhanced by a multi-link rear suspension setup, while disc brakes on all four wheels guarantee confident stopping power.
Charging is flexible and fast: the Standard trim supports up to 89 kW DC fast charging, while the Superior Captain variant goes up to 115 kW. Each unit comes with a 2.5 kW portable charger, a 7 kW AC wall charger, and a V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) cable that can power small appliances during trips or emergencies.
Value Meets Innovation
The eMAX 7 Standard variant is priced at PHP 1.498 million, while the Superior Captain model retails at PHP 1.748 million. Both offer compelling value when compared to traditional internal combustion engine MPVs—especially when factoring in fuel savings and lower maintenance costs.
To sweeten the deal, BYD Cars Philippines is offering PHP 50,000 off on all eMAX 7 purchases made before April 30, 2025.
The vehicle is available in four colors: Crystal White, Harbour Grey, Quartz Blue, and Cosmos Black. Buyers will also enjoy extensive warranty coverage, including:
8 years or 160,000 km for the Blade Battery
8 years or 150,000 km for the electric motor
6 years or 150,000 km for the vehicle itself
With preventive maintenance needed only once a year or every 20,000 km, owners can save up to 80% on servicing costs over five years.
