BYD Cars Philippines, in collaboration with ACMobility, is accelerating the transition to electric mobility in Cebu and the broader Visayas region. The latest initiatives — the BYD Tech Tour at SM Seaside City Cebu and the activation of 16 new ACMobility electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) — mark a significant advancement toward sustainable transportation in the region.
With BYD introducing its innovative lineup of electric vehicles and ACMobility delivering essential charging infrastructure, the partnership ensures that Filipinos have practical, accessible options for clean mobility.
“This expansion brings electrification within reach of more Filipino communities,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility. “Cebu is now setting the pace for the Visayas, with a robust EV charging network supporting the growing demand for sustainable transport.”

Expanding the Electric Ecosystem in Cebu
From April 25 to 27, BYD showcased its latest technology during the BYD Tech Tour at SM Seaside City Cebu, offering visitors a first-hand experience of its innovative EV models along with up to PHP 10,000 in savings.
Following the opening of its first Visayas dealership, BYD Cebu North under Global Star Motors, BYD has expanded its footprint to Ayala Center Cebu and Il Corso, with plans underway for Cebu Central, Cebu Toledo, and Cebu South locations.
“Our expansion in Cebu demonstrates our commitment to making electric mobility a reality for everyday Filipinos,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “Through our collaboration with ACMobility, we are ensuring the necessary infrastructure grows alongside vehicle adoption.”
Strengthening EV Infrastructure Across the Visayas
ACMobility is complementing BYD’s growth by deploying EVCS facilities across strategic locations, as part of its Charge Forward initiative and the Philippine EV Spine program. Live charging stations now span from Ayala Center Cebu and Il Corso to as far as Bantayan and Camotes Islands, with a target of reaching over 35 sites in the Visayas by the end of 2025.
“Through the Philippine EV Spine, we are building a strong foundation for nationwide electrification,” added Buencamino. “Every station is a step toward making EV adoption more viable and convenient across all communities.”
Partnerships with Ayala Malls, GlobalStar, Continuum Mobility Solutions, Prince Stores, City Time Square, and Club Filipino Cebu enable ACMobility to deliver consistent, accessible charging across both urban and provincial areas.
To maintain reliable 24/7 access, ACMobility has adopted a paid charging model managed via the Evro app, with competitive pricing starting at ₱33.5 for AC and ₱38 for DC. Subscription packages and prepaid plans like Charge500 offer users up to 20% in savings and flexible access to charging services.

A Unified Drive Toward a Greener Future
The alliance between BYD and ACMobility is setting a national model for sustainable transport, combining cutting-edge vehicle technology with comprehensive infrastructure solutions to drive electric mobility across the Philippines.
