
Leading automotive accessory brand Blade teams up with renowned electronics company Philips to introduce a new alternative to the conventional halogen headlight bulb. Named the Ultinon Access LED, it’s backed up by Philips’ advanced technology and endorsed by Blade’s service. The Ultinon Access LED according to Blade is easy to install and is the perfect headlight replacement bulb for any vehicle.
Blade, which recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, says the most common type of headlight bulb in the Philippines is the halogen as it comes standard in older vehicles. But as technology has advanced, the LED type headlight bulb is seen in many new vehicles today because it’s proven to be brighter and more longer-lasting than the regular bulb.
Philips has created the Ultinon Access LED headlight bulb to make it easier for motorists to replace their vehicles’ regular halogen bulbs. Two advantages of the Ultinon Access LED are that it is compact in size and is compatible with older model cars, and even motorcycles that have halogen headlight assemblies. This allows to #SwitchtoLED easier to do at home or at Blade Auto Center.
The idea of the Ultinon Access LED is to create a bulb that is more compact with a higher performance to ensure further safety of drivers on the road. Blade says the LED bulbs are 100-300% brighter than Halogen. They also have 4-6x longer lifespans, thus allowing for superior beam performance and durability versus competitive products in this segment. It benefits from Philips quality standard with quality performance of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) automotive World.

The Ultinon Access LED bulb can be easily installed into the socket of a halogen bulb. Note though that this may require an additional mechanical adaptor depending on your car’s needs. With that said, Blade explains that installing this bulb requires the same experience needed to install a halogen bulb. There is no additional experience required.
Philips Ultinon Access LED headlight bulb’s is compatible with motorcycles, Blade and Philips concurs. According to Blade, any bike equipped with Halogen H4 or H7 docks can adopt the Ultinon Access, as well as the UItinon WeatherVision LED H4 or H7 bulbs. While most motorbikes in Asia are equipped with HS1 & M5/T19 docks, there is an upcoming series called the Ultinon Moto 1000 which will be launched in Q3 2024 with those 2 types.
