Aston Martin DBX GT is a quieter, more refined performance SUV

Aston Martin is expanding its DBX SUV range with the new DBX GT, a variant that puts greater emphasis on luxury, comfort and refinement while retaining the performance expected from the British marque.

Revealed on October 1, 2026, the DBX GT joins the performance-focused DBX S but takes a different approach. Where the DBX S leans harder into its sporting character, Aston Martin describes the GT as a more discreet interpretation, combining quiet luxury with the performance and dynamics of the DBX platform.

That philosophy is evident in the exterior. The DBX GT gets a new double-vaned grille, a two-piece metal side strake with contrasting polished and satin finishes, body-colored lower bumper, sills and rear diffuser, plus a new 22-inch forged wheel with an all-season tire as standard. Aston Martin says the wheel and tire package is designed to improve ride compliance and reduce road noise. A 23-inch wheel and tire package is available for buyers seeking a more performance-oriented appearance.

Inside, the changes are even more focused on comfort. The front and rear seats have been redesigned with additional cushioning, revised bolstering and new comfort contours. A 10mm memory foam layer is added to the seat cushions, while the rear gets two individually sculpted seating positions without losing the SUV’s five-seat capability.

The cabin also receives GT-specific upholstery combinations, intricate quilting, perforation and embroidery, along with semi-aniline leather and deep-pile floor mats. Aston Martin says each front seat involves 691 meters of thread, 3,297 perforation holes and more than four and a half hours of craftsmanship. Improvements to body structure and cabin sealing are also intended to reduce road, wind and traffic noise.

Power comes from the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 used in the DBX S, producing 727 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The DBX GT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reach a claimed top speed of 310 km/h.

The chassis has been specifically recalibrated for the GT, including revised dampers and a unique damper valve system designed to filter vibrations over rough surfaces while maintaining body control. Spring rates also change with the selected drive mode to alter roll stiffness and help preserve grip and steering response.

Aston Martin says the DBX GT is scheduled to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Autocar’s Take

The Aston Martin DBX GT makes an interesting case for what a performance SUV can be when outright aggression isn’t the priority. Instead of simply making the DBX faster or more imposing, Aston Martin has focused on the parts owners experience every day: quieter road manners, better seats, improved ride comfort and a more luxurious cabin.

Yet the numbers remain serious, with 727 hp, 900 Nm and a 310-km/h top speed. That combination gives the DBX GT a distinctly grand-touring character. For buyers looking at ultra-luxury SUVs, the appeal here isn’t just speed. It is the ability to enjoy that speed without sacrificing refinement, something the British brand is rather good at providing.
