The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA) reported combined sales of 37,231 units sold in June 2026, translating to an 11 percent increase from May. As such, CAMPI said that June marks the group’s highest-selling month so far this year.
CAMPI President Jose Maria Atienza shared that the auto industry’s June performance brings a more optimistic second-semester outlook. The reason for this is that vehicle sales are projected to exceed last year’s second-half monthly levels, according to Atienza.
CAMPI brand members also launched new Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and various Electrified Vehicle (xEV) models at the recently held Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). These new models are expected to add momentum in the local automotive industry.
“This June, we saw sales of both Internal ICE vehicles and xEVs rise. Industry sales of gas and diesel cars grew by 10.0% versus May due to more stable fuel prices, while xEVs grew by 49.2% thanks to improving supply level,” said Atienza.
Based on CAMPI’s June 2026 data, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) have outsold hybrid vehicles. In June, total BEVs sold in the local market were 3,193 units, while hybrid vehicles posted 2,121 units sold, and plug-in hybrid (PHEVs) yielded 1,681 units sold. This shows that for June, BEVs or all-electric vehicles have outsold hybrids and PHEVs, cornering 45.7 percent market share in the xEV category.
In June 2026, Tesla sold the most BEVs with 984 units, followed by VinFast with 859 units sold, while Omoda & Jaecoo sit in third with 645 units sold.
For the June 2026 overall sales ranking, Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMPC) still leads among CAMPI-TMA members with 17,627 units sold. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) maintains its second position with 6,535 units sold. Rounding up the top five are Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPI) with 1,532 units, Ford Group Philippines, Inc. (FGP) with 1,298 units, and Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) with 1,245 units.
