Chery Auto Philippines set the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2026 as the stage for the Philippine debut of the all-new Chery Q EV, an electric vehicle designed to make EV ownership more accessible and practical for Filipino motorists.
Taking center stage at the Chery Super Hybrid Hub, the Q embodies the show’s theme, “Forward in Every Drive,” while also introducing the brand’s new global promise, “For the Family.” The launch reflects Chery’s continued push toward electrified mobility solutions that fit the everyday needs of modern households.
Designed as a compact “pure electric smart EV cruiser,” the Q combines city-friendly dimensions with functionality suited for daily commuting, family errands, and weekend trips. The model aims to lower the barriers to electric vehicle adoption by offering a balance of efficiency, technology, safety, and driving enjoyment.
One of its standout features is its claimed driving range of up to 405 km on a full charge based on NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) standards. It also supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to replenish from 30% to 80% in just 16.5 minutes. The vehicle’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability further expands its practicality by enabling owners to power external devices directly from the vehicle.

The Chery Q EV also arrives with impressive credentials in design, having received both the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. Its distinctive Q-shaped LED lighting elements, vibrant color choices, and minimalist interior help set it apart in the growing electric vehicle segment.
Inside, occupants are greeted by a 15.6-inch 2.5K Ultra HD touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 50W wireless charger, intelligent voice controls, ventilated seats, and numerous storage compartments further enhance convenience. Safety remains a priority, with the Q EV featuring Level 2 Intelligent Driving Assistance and a 540-degree Around View Monitor.
Beyond the Q EV, Chery also showcased the Tiggo rEV plug-in hybrid SUV and offered special event promotions for visitors. Now open for reservations, the Chery Q EV carries a suggested retail price of P1.12 million, positioning itself as one of the newest contenders in the Philippine electric vehicle market.

The Chery Q EV arrives at an important time for the Philippine automotive industry. Interest in electric vehicles continues to grow, but many buyers still have concerns about practicality, charging convenience, and affordability. Based on its specifications, the Chery Q EV appears to address those concerns with a usable driving range, fast-charging capability, and a feature-rich cabin.
More importantly, it presents EV ownership in a less intimidating way. Rather than focusing purely on technology, Chery is emphasizing everyday usability and family-oriented mobility. That approach could resonate strongly with Filipino motorists looking to make their first transition into electric vehicles.
