Kia Philippines, through its official local distributor ACMobility, has announced that it closed 2025 with notable sales performance. According to Kia, this achievement was driven by strong demand for its MPV and SUV models. Based on the report it submitted, retail sales increased from 6,692 units in 2024 to 7,810 units in 2025, positioning Kia as one of the fastest-growing mainstream car brands in the country.
Two models played a central role in Kia’s 2025 performance. Firstly, the Kia Carnival recorded a 30% year-on-year growth, ranking second in the premium midsize MPV segment. The model continued to appeal to families and executives looking for space, comfort, and premium features. Meanwhile, the Kia Sonet emerged as a leading player in the highly competitive entry-level subcompact SUV segment. Sales of the Sonet grew 54% year over year, placing it second in its category. The introduction of the Sonet K-Style Edition contributed to its momentum by offering a more distinctive design, attracting younger buyers.
In 2025, Kia Philippines also completed its threefold powertrain strategy, offering traditional internal combustion engine (ICE)– powered, fully electric, and turbo-hybrid vehicles. The rollout of turbocharged hybrid models, including the Carnival Turbo Hybrid and Sorento Turbo Hybrid, expanded Kia’s reach among customers seeking a balance between performance, efficiency, and reduced emissions.

Kia says that the growth is a result of sustained consumer confidence in its product lineup and value proposition. Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, Chief Executive Officer of ACMobility, said the 2025 performance highlights the strength of Kia’s portfolio and its customer-centric approach to mobility. His statement was followed through by Kia Philippines’ Managing Director, Jay Lopes. The Kia executive added that the results were shaped by positive customer response not only to the vehicles, but also to after-sales service and dealer support.
Beyond sales, Kia Philippines received recognition for customer satisfaction and dealer excellence. In more detail, Kia Philippines was awarded the 2025 Sales Customer Satisfaction Significant Improvement Award by Kia Asia Pacific, while Kia Pasig bagged the 2025 Global Best Dealer.

Autocar’s Take
Kia Philippines’ notable 2025 sales performance demonstrates how product relevance and customer experience can drive sustained growth, even in highly competitive segments. The strong showing of the Carnival and Sonet signifies that buyers are responding positively to practical value and thoughtful design updates.
Equally important is Kia’s completion of its powertrain lineup, which addresses shifting consumer preferences toward electrified vehicles without abandoning conventional choices. While sales records are notable, customer satisfaction and dealer excellence awards clearly indicate long-term potential for continued brand growth. Consistency in service delivery will be key as Kia builds on its momentum in 2026.
