Lexus Philippines is more than just a brand selling luxury and high-performance cars. As a lifestyle brand, it recently highlighted its Key Coffee cafe in Mitsukoshi Mall in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), featuring a host of new menu items to offer a relaxing experience to visitors. The new lineup introduces a variety of savory dishes, desserts, and drinks that lean on familiar flavors, presented with a level of care that reflects the setting without feeling over the top.
At the heart of the updated menu is a selection of comfort-driven menu dishes. The Kaarage Udon is a simple but thoughtfully done noodle dish made with tender udon noodles, served in a savory dashi consommé (rich, clear soup), topped with crisp karaage (Japanese fried chicken) that adds texture and substance. It is a dish meant to be enjoyed slowly for that warm and light experience.

The Omurice (Japanese omelet with flavored rice and tomato sauce) takes a similarly restrained approach. Chicken fried rice is wrapped in soft, lightly scrambled eggs and finished with a luxurious tomato demi-glace that adds depth without overpowering the dish.
For those looking for something with a bit more contrast, the Pomodoro Toast offers a layered experience. Thick-cut shokupan (Japanese milk bread) is topped with savory tsukune (Japanese chicken meatballs), pomodoro sauce, bell peppers, and melted cheese. This is then toasted until the bread is crispy while the toppings remain rich and satisfying. It bridges the gap between a light snack and a full meal, making it suitable for sharing and enjoying on its own.

Dessert comes in the form of the Berry Parfait, which balances richness and acidity. Buttery crumble and smooth vanilla cream are paired with mixed berry compote (berries cooked in syrup and spice), fresh berries, and a hint of balsamic sauce. The result is a composed but not overly sweet ending to a great savory meal.
The cafe’s drink selection follows the same luxurious yet understated philosophy. Velvet Peach & Toffee combines ripe peach, toffee crumble, milk foam, and ginger ale, offering a gentle sweetness that is easy to drink. Meanwhile, the Chili Mint Nama Latte introduces contrast, blending subtle heat and freshness with silky nama chocolate and espresso. There is also the Melon Citrus Cream Soda, a drink made of melon, lime, and milk foam. This is rounded out by a splash of soda water for a clean, refreshing profile.

The new Key Coffee menu is crafted to extend the experience of the luxurious Lexus Mitsukoshi space subtly. It is less about novelty and more about offering visitors a reason to pause, sit down, and enjoy familiar flavors done well, even if it means staying for a little longer than originally planned.
