Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), the marketer of Caltex fuels and lubricants, has once again joined forces with Edukasyon.ph to offer cloud computing training and career support to underserved individuals through the AWS re/Start program.
This renewed partnership underscores Chevron and Edukasyon.ph’s shared commitment to empowering disadvantaged Filipinos by providing access to high-demand technical skills. The AWS re/Start program offers cloud computing training, a critical component in today’s technology-driven world.
Last year, 48 scholars successfully completed the AWS re/Start program, gaining expertise in designing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure. This year, with Chevron’s continued support, Edukasyon.ph aims to enroll 50 new students in the program.
As cloud computing becomes essential for businesses of all sizes, there is a growing demand for skilled professionals in the tech industry. The AWS re/Start program helps bridge this gap by equipping Filipinos with the specialized knowledge needed to thrive in cloud-related careers.
The program, which requires no prior tech experience, is free for participants and focuses on helping unemployed or underemployed individuals start careers in cloud computing. Participants receive hands-on training in programming, networking, security, and database management, all under the guidance of professional mentors and certified instructors. Graduates not only gain technical expertise but also earn the highly-regarded AWS Certification, positioning them for entry-level roles in the cloud sector.
“We are incredibly grateful to Chevron Philippines for their continued support,” said Sophia Fontanilla, Board Member of Edukasyon.ph. “Their backing allows us to expand the program and provide more students with life-changing upskilling opportunities. We are excited to renew this valuable partnership.”

Raissa Bautista, Chevron Philippines’ Corporate Affairs Manager, emphasized the importance of the initiative, saying, “The success of last year’s cohort proves that cloud computing is key to the future of Filipino professionals. At Chevron, we are dedicated to supporting education and improving the livelihoods of underserved communities. We thank Edukasyon.ph for this ongoing partnership, which allows us to help even more individuals gain valuable skills.”
