
Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), in collaboration with Centro Manufacturing Corporation, successfully turned over a fleet of modernized Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) to the Dauin Transport Services Cooperative (DATSCO). This initiative marks a significant advancement in the public transportation system of Dauin, aligning with the government’s ongoing PUV modernization program.
The event was graced by prominent figures, including DATSCO Chairperson Gemma Tuble, Leah M. Marino of Isuzu Dumaguete City, Flordeliz Temblor-Olivar of Bethel Insurance, Mario Ojales from IPC, and Lester Uy from Isuzu Bacolod. The modern PUV bodies were produced by Centro Manufacturing Corporation, furthering their commitment to delivering high-quality transportation solutions.
In her address, DATSCO Chairperson Gemma Tuble expressed her appreciation, stating that the introduction of these modernized PUVs is a pivotal moment for the cooperative. She emphasized that the new vehicles would elevate the quality of transportation in their community and contribute to a more sustainable and efficient public transport system. On the other hand, Leah M. Marino of Isuzu Dumaguete City highlighted the importance of this launch as a testament to Isuzu’s commitment to the PUV modernization program, anticipating the positive effects these vehicles will have on Dauin’s public transport.
Furthermore, Flordeliz Temblor-Olivar of Bethel Insurance underscored the significance of passenger safety, affirming their commitment to providing comprehensive insurance coverage to ensure the security of both passengers and operators. Meanwhile, Mario Ojales from IPC and Lester Uy from Isuzu Bacolod both reiterated their support for local cooperatives like DATSCO in their efforts to modernize and improve transportation services. They emphasized Isuzu’s dedication to contributing to the country’s transportation infrastructure by providing reliable and durable vehicles.
Finally, Lotis San Jose, Senior Sales Supervisor at Centro Manufacturing Corporation, also extended congratulations to Isuzu Dumaguete and DATSCO, expressing pride in their role in this key milestone and looking forward to future collaborations.
