Green GSM, a Vietnamese all-electric taxi service company, is continuing to expand its presence on Philippine roads. Its latest endeavor is a new partnership with AMRC Renewable Corporation/Xentro Motors, a subsidiary of the Xentro Group of Companies. The collaboration aims to roll out 2,000 units of Green GSM EV taxis bearing the VinFast badge.

The agreement marks a step towards advancing EV mobility in the country, with both firms sharing a mission to expand access for Filipino commuters to cleaner, more sustainable mobility options. Under the memorandum of understanding (MUO), Green GSM will supply 2,000 units of VinFast Neon Green EVs to Xentro Motors, with the first 1,000 units already secured and the remaining to be delivered over the next two years.

Once the necessary regulatory and accreditation processes are complete, the fleet will operate under the “Green Xentro powered by Green GSM” banner in Metro Manila and other key cities. Similar to Green GSM’s flagship fleet, which it launched in June 2025, the Xentro Motors fleet will also feature vehicles donning the Green GSM cyan green colorway and adopt eco-friendly standards that align with the company’s global operations.

Xentro Motors plans to use its network of Xentro malls to host designated pick-up points, EV charging stations, and parking areas. Making electric ride-hailing more convenient for both drivers and passengers. The goal also aligns with Xentro’s broader goal of integrating sustainability into its retail and property portfolio.

The collaboration will also leverage VinFast’s service infrastructure for fleet maintenance, charging, and driver support. Xentro Motors’ CEO, Noel M. Ignacio, shared that the partnership highlights a common goal of supporting the country’s transport modernization efforts and improving urban mobility.

For his part, Dao Quy Phi, Managing Director of Green GSM Southeast Asia, said, “Green GSM always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for local businesses to collaborate on the GSM platform. Across the countries where GSM operates, we have successfully partnered with and supported more than 100 enterprises in building sustainable business models within the electric mobility ecosystem. Xentro is the first of such valued partners in the Philippines, and we believe this cooperation will set a positive example for future collaborations.”

Xentro Group becomes Green GSM’s first partner in the Philippine market, marking the beginning of deeper collaborations with local stakeholders to develop a fully electric ride-hailing service.
