I can hear you from waaayyy over there and it is not in agreement with the title.

But it’s true. Somewhere along the whole course of the testing and trials, the Ford Everest managed to land third in a class of 10 when it comes to fuel efficiency.

Or at least this is how it came out in the latest Petron TriAction Performance Run – Diesel Edition conducted in the past month.

The Everest participated in the Petron challenge where it traversed the tricky mountain roads from Baguio to Ambuklao via the Halsema Highway and then back to Baguio to Manila.

According to Ford, the route involved real world driving conditions that included hilly terrains, fully loaded vehicles and no convoys.

The Everest logged a total of 27.21 kilometers per liter of fuel consumption. The best mileage rate came from the BMW X1 at 34.08km/liter. In second was the Honda CR-V with a 28.52km/liter fuel efficiency rating.

That sounds quite remarkable for the Ford Everest if you ask me.
