Continuing the legacy started by the late Philippine motorsport personality, Danny Santiago, the Philippine Autocross Championship Series (PACS) continues its 2023 season with action-packed races. PACS’ most recent Round 4 is a night race held at Parklinks C5 in Pasig City.
In the Novice category, Jose Carlo Ocampo secured the top position with a total time of 1:19.51, followed by Paolo Batangantang in second place with a total time of 1:22.18 and Smilleon Chua in third with his 1:23.32 run. Arnold Javier and George Moncupa took the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
In the Open category, Richard Gallardo emerged as the winner, clocking a time of 1:16.96 in the Open B class. Gen Colina finished second in the Open C class, while Ronz Yuzon secured third in the Open B class. Novice drivers Paolo Batangantang and Jose Carlo Ocampo put up an impressive performance running against the veterans of the Open class and finished in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
Richard Gallardo has performed particularly well during the night race Round 4 in the Overall category, securing the top spot with a total time of 1:16.00 in the EMC. Jose Carlo Ocampo landed in the second spot followed by Paolo Batangantang in third position. Smilleon Chua and Pogs Jaranilla completed the class’ top five finishers in fourth and five, respectively.
In the D.B.S. class, Mike Santos emerged as the class winner with a total time of 1:28.38, followed by Alexander John Andal at 1:31.11 and George Moncupa at 1:33.35. Jose Carlo Ocampo finished in fourth while Nathan Sarmenta completed the class’ top five.
The night race proved to be an exciting round of the PACS gathering drivers and car enthusiasts all in one festive night. PACS looks forward to more thrilling races in the future as the series continues to push the boundaries of motorsport excellence.
