Manila – Nissan Philippines is thrilled to announce its involvement in the upcoming Ironman 70.3 triathlon in the country. The event, set to take place in Cebu this April, will see three distinct teams representing the automotive giant.
Comprising the Nissan contingent are three groups: The Nissan Brand Ambassador group, the Nissan Employee group, and the Nissan Dealer Principals group. Spearheading the Brand Ambassador team is none other than Matteo Guidicelli, esteemed brand ambassador for Nissan Philippines. Guidicelli will commence the triathlon with a formidable 1.9-kilometer swim, followed by the talented actress Bubbles Paraiso, who will navigate the challenging 90-kilometer bike segment. Lastly, Juan Manuel Hoyos, President of Nissan Philippines, will undertake the arduous 21-kilometer run to bring the course to its completion.
Since its inception in 2013, the Ironman Philippines triathlon has garnered significant acclaim, emerging as a premier event in the country’s sporting calendar. With a diverse pool of over two thousand participants hailing from 46 nations and spanning an age range of 25 to 60 years, the Ironman triathlon promises a thrilling competition characterized by its demanding endurance courses. This year, the event will unfold in the historic confines of Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, on April 21, 2024.
The Nissan Tri team epitomizes the intrepid ethos that pervades the broader Nissan Philippines network, comprising nearly 4,000 dealers and employees. Their participation underscores a steadfast commitment to pushing boundaries and exemplifying the spirit of Adventurers for Life.
“Our Nissan tri team encompasses not only employees, dealers, and ambassadors but also impassioned individuals who embody Nissan’s DNA – daring to tread paths less traveled. We embrace innovation, challenge conventions, and unite as One Nissan team to champion excellence and excitement. This encapsulates the essence of the Nissan brand,” remarked Juan Manuel Hoyos, President of Nissan Philippines.
