Aiming to showcase its latest EV concept, Nissan shares a glimpse of Japanese hospitality for this edition of Consumer Electronics Show.  Taking center stage at the Nissan pavilion is the Nissan Ariya Concept, the Japanese automotive giant’s all-new EV platform. The newest zero-emission crossover EV concept embodies the Nissan Intelligent Mobility idea with futuristic driving and ownership experience for Nissan customers.

“The Ariya Concept highlights Nissan’s promise of an entirely new driving experience that’s just on the horizon,” said Takao Asami, senior vice president for research and advanced engineering at Nissan. “This zero-emission crossover isn’t a concept car based on far-off ideas; it’s a showcase of technologies available in the very near term.”

Nissan CES pavilionAlso showcased at the Nissan CES pavilion are the brand’s latest technological advancements which are taken out of the car and developed for new and creative uses. Guests are treated to a first-hand experience of these technologies showcased through fun, everyday activities.

“Omotenashi is a Japanese philosophy of hospitality that manifests in careful attention to detail that may be undetectable to guests, but contributes to the most memorable experience possible,” explained Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president for global design at Nissan. “That’s what we want to offer our customers, and of course our guests at our booth. We’ve tried to create an immersive experience that gives you the same feeling of hospitality, excitement and Japanese craftsmanship that you will feel behind the wheel of our latest vehicles and technologies that bring the future to life today!”

Aside from the Nissan Ariya Concept EV crossover, other highlights of the Nissan CES exhibit include the Nissan zero-emission ice cream van, the ProPILOT golf ball, Power Selfie, Nissan’s Formula E race car, and the Nissan Leaf e+.

Nissan zero-emission ice cream vanThe Nissan zero-emission ice cream van is a concept van that combines an all-electric drivetrain, second-life battery storage and renewable solar energy generation. The ProPILOT golf ball showcases Nissan’s latest sensing technology found in their cars. Simulating how Nissan cars equipped with ProPILOT 2.0 maneuver along predefined highway route, the ProPILOT golf ball always manages to find the hole. Giving guests at Nissan booth the chance to recreate exhilarating experience, the Power Selfie activity records a short video to mimic an EV race car accelerating from 0 to 100kph in just 2.8 sec.

Also highlighted at the Nissan booth is the brand’s Formula E contender sporting a special Japan-inspired livery for the upcoming season. Of course, not to be missed is the Nissan LEAF e+ which features powerful motor, long range and advanced technologies including the ProPILOT drive assistance system and the innovative e-pedal mode for one-pedal driving.
