Lalamove expands to ride-hailing in the Philippines, onboarding 15,000 drivers in 2025

Lalamove, a leader in on-demand delivery services, is officially launching its ride-hailing operations in the Philippines, aiming to onboard 15,000 drivers by June 2025. This expansion will provide commuters with an additional transport option while offering drivers a new income stream in the Greater Manila Area, Pampanga, and Cebu.

A New Opportunity for Partner Drivers

With its established reputation in delivery services, Lalamove is bringing its efficient and reliable approach to ride-hailing. The company is inviting drivers with hatchbacks, sedans, and MPVs to join the platform, offering a highly competitive 2% commission rate—allowing drivers to take home 98% of their earnings in addition to Panalomove partner benefits.

“We are thrilled to introduce Lalamove Ride as a new transport alternative. Our priority is onboarding a strong driver network to meet the high demand for convenient and affordable ride-hailing services,” said Djon Nacario, Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines.

Interested drivers must provide key documents, including a Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) or Provisional Authority (PA) from the LTFRB, a professional driver’s license, background clearances, passenger accident insurance, and vehicle photos. Additional documentation is required for second or third vehicle owners and those using borrowed cars for ride-hailing.

Addressing Commuter Challenges

Commuters have long expressed interest in using Lalamove for passenger transport. With Lalamove Ride now operational, partner drivers can benefit from strong demand. Drivers can toggle between ride-hailing and delivery services, optimizing their earnings by switching based on peak and non-peak hours.

Lalamove Ride ensures affordability while complying with LTFRB’s pricing regulations. It also prioritizes passenger safety and convenience with key app features, including:

  • Real-time GPS tracking
  • 24/7 in-app chat support
  • Passenger accident insurance via Chubb
  • SOS emergency button for immediate assistance
  • Government-mandated 20% fare discounts for students, PWDs, and senior citizens
  • A stringent driver registration process

“Lalamove is committed to providing the same level of reliability and affordability in ride-hailing as we do in delivery services. With 15,000 drivers onboard by June 2025, we are set to redefine convenience in the Philippine transportation sector,” added Nacario.
