According to the latest report by the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA), the country’s motorcycle industry is now thriving, with sales data from late 2025 showing remarkable figures of around 1,581,817 units sold, a 13.5% increase vs. 2024’s sales. Now, it appears the industry is stronger than ever heading into 2026.

In a recent announcement, Trimotors Technology Corporation (TTC) has been appointed as the new exclusive distributor of KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles in the Philippines. This major milestone comes after both brands concluded ties with their former distributor, the Ayala-owned Adventure Cycle Philippines, Inc. (ACPI) in 2024, and their short-lived operations under Lucky MAPI (Motor Ace Philippines).

The appointment follows TTC’s recent designation as distributor of Bajaj sport motorcycles and Chetak electric scooters. This marks TTC’s renewed competitive presence in the local motorcycle market.

TTC is no stranger to the country’s highly competitive motorcycle segment. For the past decade, it has worked closely with Bajaj Auto Limited, focusing on the brand’s three-wheel models. Of note, more than 150,000 Bajaj three-wheel units are now on the road nationwide, supported by TTC’s dealer network and after-sales service infrastructure. The company attributes this growth to its focus on reliability, practical mobility solutions, and nationwide reach.

Under the new partnership, TTC will sell KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles to Filipino riders through its dealer network. It confirmed that the upcoming 2026 models from both brands are expected to arrive soon, featuring updated designs, advanced technologies, and performance-focused developments aimed at enthusiasts and adventure riders alike.

TTC President Raul Manglapus III went on to say, “This new chapter strengthens our mission to provide comprehensive mobility solutions to the Filipino market. “We are thrilled to bring the adventure and spirit of KTM and Husqvarna to more riders nationwide, alongside our expanding range of Bajaj products.”

As preparations continue, TTC also signaled its plans to make 2026 its banner year. These include holding new product launches, brand activities, and public events tied to the arrival of the new motorcycle lineup.

Autocar’s Take

KTM and Husqvarna’s resurgence under TTC is a welcome development for local motorcycle enthusiasts. After concluding their chapters under ACPI and Lucky MAPI, a noticeable gap was felt, especially in the premium motorcycle market.

With TTC now taking the reins, KTM and Husqvarna appear poised for a more stable and focused continuation of their storied local operations. Based on TTC’s portfolio, it’s without a doubt that both the Austrian and Swedish motorcycle brands are in for a brighter future in the Philippines. TTC’s proven nationwide dealer network and after-sales capability, built over years of partnership with the Indian brand Bajaj, suggest a stronger foundation, moving forward. This relaunch signals renewed confidence and excitement for two globally respected premium motorcycle brands.
