Geely Auto Group announced that it remains committed to making its cars safer and more intelligent by integrating them with smart artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This was made known by the Chinese car brand at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), an event that also saw the debut of Sony Honda Mobility’s new Afeela SUV concept

“AI is reshaping the automotive industry in many ways, from powertrains and components to a systematic reconstruction of mobility ecosystems and lifestyles. Geely is committed to creating safe, sustainable, and intelligent mobility for the world,” said Geely Auto Group CEO Jerry Gan.

Geely revealed two new developments that will underpin its next generation of smart vehicles, which involve the integration of AI tech. The first of which is the Full-Domain AI 2.0 tech, which is the car brand’s upgraded vehicle intelligence architecture. Geely shared that the new tech brings several vehicle functions together under a unified AI framework.

The Full-Domain AI 2.0 enables different vehicle components, such as the cockpit, chassis, safety systems, and driving functions, to exchange data and interact with each other in real-time. Geely said that vehicles can coordinate actions more efficiently, as the new AI tech can integrate data into a central intelligent system, resulting in smoother operation and more responsive behavior. It’s as if Geely is giving its future vehicles its own nervous system, with the central intelligent system acting as the brain.

As such, the Full-Domain AI 2.0 is said to be designed to improve how vehicles adapt to changing road conditions, driver inputs, and usage scenarios, enabling intelligence that feels seamless rather than fragmented.

The second tech that Geely revealed at the 2026 CES is the Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD), which is the brand’s new intelligent driving system aimed at achieving higher levels of driving automation.

Geely noted that the G-ASD is built on advanced AI algorithms, large-scale real-world driving data, and high-performance sensing and computing hardware. The said tech intends to support drivers in complex and demanding traffic environments by providing assistance that enhances safety. The Chinese car brand added that it is designed to help vehicles better understand their surroundings and respond more naturally to real-world scenarios.
