Dongfeng Motors Philippines is set to further expand its nationwide footprint in 2026. This comes in the form of new dealer network partnerships set to establish added presence in Luzon and Visayas through Central Auto Resources and TJ Motors Ventures, respectively.

The upcoming dealerships form part of Dongfeng’s broader expansion plan, which targets key growth areas including Dasmariñas, Manila, Cebu, and Bohol. The initiative highlights the brand’s focus on improving its accessibility and bringing its range of mobility solutions closer to Filipino consumers across Luzon and Visayas.

Under the agreement, Central Auto Resources will oversee Dongfeng dealerships in Dasmariñas and Manila, catering to customers in Southern Luzon and Metro Manila. On the other hand, TJ Motors Ventures will lead Dongfeng’s expansion in Cebu and Bohol, regions the brand sees as vital automotive markets in the Visayas.

“We aim to provide the Filipino community not only with innovative and green mobility solutions, but also vehicles that become a meaningful part of daily Filipino lives, from everyday commutes and family journeys to business, growth, and progress,” said Mr. Brennan Lim, Deputy CEO of Legado Motors Inc., the official distributor of Dongfeng Motors in the Philippines.

Customers visiting the soon-to-rise dealerships will gain access to Dongfeng’s expanding model lineup. This includes the Aeolus Huge Hybrid and Aeolus Mage for urban mobility, the  Nammi EV, which Dongfeng claims to make around 430 km of driving range, the Rich 7 pickup for business and utility use, and the U-Tour MPV for family and long-distance travel. Additional new and upcoming models are expected to be included as part of the company’s 2026 rollout.

The expansion is led by dealer principals Anna Caranina Cua of Central Auto Resources and Jennifer Yu of TJ Motors Ventures, whose investments signal growing confidence in the Dongfeng brand. Legado Motors Inc., Dongfeng’s official distributor in the Philippines, emphasized that the new dealerships will follow global standards in sales and after-sales services.

Author’s Take

This is a welcoming development, not just for Dongfeng’s Philippine business journey, but also for the country’s rapidly rising electric mobility industry. Dongfeng’s dealership expansion suggests a brand playing the long game in the Philippine market. Rather than focusing solely on headline-grabbing product launches, the company is investing in physical presence and regional accessibility, an often-overlooked but critical factor in building customer trust.

By anchoring growth in both Luzon and Visayas, Dongfeng is serious in leveling itself to compete more credibly with established players such as BYD, Geely, and Changan. The inclusion of hybrids and EVs alongside commercial and family-oriented vehicles shows that the brand’s solid understanding of diverse local needs. If execution matches ambition, this expansion could strengthen Dongfeng’s standing in an increasingly competitive market.
